If anyone asked me who the foremost expert on PPC is, I would answer Brad Geddes without hesitation!I have been doing PPC for almost 10 years. And ever since I can remember, Brad has been one of the foremost experts in the field. I have had the pleasure of seeing him speak at events and classes several times. I never leave disappointed. From what I understand, he is one of the few people authorized by Google to teach Adwords courses for them. Basically, this guy knows his stuff!This book is chok-full of useful Adwords information. From actionable research tips, to detailed how to's. I deal with Adwords EVERYDAY, and I still learned new things by reading this book. He covers in depth, everything from the history of Adwords, to Keywords research, to account structure, testing, landing pages and much, much more actionable information.I recommend it to anyone who has an understanding of Adwords, but wants to take their knowledge set to the next level. CAUTION: THERE'S A HUGE TRAP (& SOME ERRORS!)
Part of my purchase decision to buy this book was the $50 voucher for Google Adwords, which is promoted in HUGE BOLD text at the TOP of the back cover.I bought the book only to find that the $50 voucher/gift certificate only applies to NEW Adwords accounts! No special conditions mentioned here (not even the cliche' asterix* referring me to any fine print).It was only when I purchased and read the REALLY FINE PRINT in PINK FONT AGAINST A RED BACKGROUND (!!!) did it let me know that I was suckered in!!!This is from an author who states in the very OPENING line of the INTRODUCTION under the heading:-"Who Should Read This Book",...that his book is...quote: "written for people who have a solid understanding of AdWords and have opened and managed their own accounts" (from very top of page xxi)Now tell me?! What good is a voucher for a NEW ACCOUNT for people who have ALREADY "opened and managed their own accounts"?!?!?Now - I can hear you ask, "So - I'll just open another account!" The futility of doing this to one side - on page 424 the author who's giving you this free $50 voucher advises against opening a new account: Quote, "Each business should only have one account" as "Only one ad per website would be shown on a search results page"So - you're essentially giving me a voucher which is marketed to people who can't use it - and if they try - he essentially advises against it!!!Talk about a "Ploy"... Aren't there laws against this sort of thing?!Nice con Mr. Author - congratulations - it worked on me!(Oh! Also there are serious errors on how to calculate various profits... If you do it that way... You're going to be WAY OUT).Good luck!

Extremely helpful, refer to this time and again
Brad Geddes truly has the ability to take something as complicated and nuanced as AdWords and explain it very well, in a warm and engaging manner, giving confidence to beginners and motivation to seasoned users. When his book first came out, I eagerly snapped it up and have read and re-read it countless times, each time learning something new. Applying his tips has helped skyrocket revenue.The second edition provides even more value, with incredible insights into remarketing, ad extensions, modified broad match and more, all of which can yield significant results. Taking some of the new tactics allowed me to take a dead campaign and within 5 weeks turn it into a campaign generating a few thousand orders per month. Absolutely incredible. It's no wonder he was recently voted the "Most Influential person in SEM".I cannot recommend this book highly enough-- buy it NOW!

Amazing how-to book on Adwords
I'm certified in Google Adwords already but Brad's book just keeps on opening my eyes to better ways to do things and how to more efficiently run campaigns. Lots of helpful info that's not necessarily info he had to share in a book on Adwords...but I'm sure glad he did! Best to get the paperback though instead of the kindle version because some illustrations don't show up well on the Kindle. There's also a lot of step by step instructions and you will definitely be going back and using this book as a guide,; Kindle versions are not good for that. I bought the Kindle version first and then went back and bought the paperback. Yes , it's worth buying twice.Brad really is the guru's guru, when it comes to Adwords.Carlin Stanton, the East Texas Google Guy

Good book, BUT
It's a solid read. I found a lot of useful information in provided content, however I was also really looking forward to using my AdWords coupon and guess what? Terms for cashing it in are basically a trap. New AdWords customers only, 15 days after account creation deadline, have to set something up to get it as well.Keep in mind, you will most likely not be able to take advantage of it. Going through the book you will probably set up an account to have a better understanding of what the author is talking about and by the time you are done reading and get to the coupon part, you will find out you are no longer eligible.$50 credit was a heavy influence for me purchasing this book. Personally I feel it's a "scammy" practice, and therefore I'm giving this book 3 stars. Bottom line, the book is amazingly helpful for beginners in advertising.

Must read for AdWords advertisers
I've read a number of books on web marketing, SEO, SEM, etc. and have spent time with the many resources Google provides to AdWords advertisers. I thought I was pretty well versed on the ins and outs of AdWords.This book has helped me realize I was a babe in the woods. The book flows in an organized fashion and allows the reader to get in to each topic as 'deep' as they choose.I know that the knowledge I'm gathering will help me crank up the effectiveness of our web marketing.When I consider the cost of the book vs the amount I was paying for ads that were not performing this is a no brainer read.

I nearly bought the Perry Marshall book but have an earlier edition and was looking for something new: Brad Geddes's book is exactly what I was looking for. I've been running Adwords campaigns since 2005 but needed a refresher to help me reorganise a large account that had got out of hand during the busy pre-Xmas period. This book refreshed by knowledge of the basics and introduced me to many of the aspects that have changed in the meantime. It also offers a step by step process, in the final chapter, to implementing a well organised AdWords campaign.At present, I'm working on my text ads but will move on to the display ads once they're working well - I can't comment on those aspects of the book therefore at present.My only criticism is that it could do with an update to cover the latest features and the big revamp of the user interface Google has undertaken in the past year or so. Otherwise, superb.

Die Adwords Bibel aus Übersee
Übertrifft wie bereits beschrieben jede deutsche Literatur, aber das ist auch nicht weiter verwunderlich, da die SEM Manager im Amiland uns meilenweit voraus sind.Besonders der Teil über das Google Display Netzwerk hat es mir angetan. Da konnte ich bisher den größten Nutzen draus ziehen.Aber auch in den etablierten Suchen Themen wartet das Buch immer wieder mit einfachen und umsetzbaren Tipps auf.
