This rinse is amazing!! It takes the stink out of my husband and son’s old workout clothes. I have tried every product available and this is pure magic! Even the very old “favorite” ones are no longer in jeopardy of being tossed out. This also got the stress sweat smell out of some work shirts and was very gentle on the fabric. I’m a huge fan!

Works amazing! A bit of chemical scent in the bottle but doesn't add any fregrence to conflict with detergent scent or if using unscented detergent seems to completely remove old odors for a "just clean" fabric smell. Helps to rinse detergent residue out and doesn't make the final rinse sudsy like I have found the scented versions of the rinse and refresh do. Wish it came in a larger size!

I suffer from allergies and scents are a trigger for migraines. My mother also has COPD so scents are just not feasible in my household. It’s extremely difficult to find laundry detergents that actually clean your clothes without using strong scents to cover smells. This has replaced my laundry softener and vinegar. It’s unscented and effective, but like all things unscented, a little pricey for what you get.

Highly recommend the Free & Gentle version for towels. It really helps prevent mildew smell when in use, especially for kitchen towels. I also echo what others have said about the bottle, it’s a bit of a fail. Would be helpful to have instructions on how much to add too. I do not recommend the scented versions. The smell is SO strong it’s giving me a headache even after the clothes have dried.

I have been using the fragrance-free version of Downy Rinse & Refresh (I am almost through my second bottle). This product does a fabulous job of removing odors from loads of laundry -- icky towels, boy smells, etc. The laundry comes out soft and smelling like -- well, nothing, which is what I want! (I don't care for any type of perfume so the fragrance free suits us well). MAJOR CON: The bottle is a befuddlement. The cap is not really meant to be filled for a dose, and there are no instructions on how much to use. Regardless, I use the cap because if I pour directly from the bottle, the liquid inevitably spills and/or drips down the sides of the bottle -- and the liquid is a little tacky/sticky, so I am constantly wiping down the bottle and elsewhere. Make a spout on this bottle! It's a spilling mess. And tell us how much to use (not by referring to a washing machine dispenser, but based on "cap-ful" or some other actual measuring unit). Except for the bottle, this is a 5+ star product!

I have been using this product for over a year and love it. Leaves my clothes smelling fresh and clean, no overbearing scent.

I have never used fabric softener except dryer sheets. I know they say it is fabric softener here but it also claims to help clothes rinse better (which is why I tried it) and I think it does. The clothes feel cleaner when they come out of the rinse. I love that there is an unscented version. I have sensitive skin and it had not bothered me when used in my clothes. You can't use this with laundry sanitizer and shouldn't use additional liquid fabric softener.

I received the item with no leakage or spilling. The size is the large economy size. I believe this is a great addition to laundry loads and helps remove odors. I've never used anything like it and highly recommend for the overall appearance and removal of clothing wrinkles. Seems a good value and a good quality.
