BOSCH BP978 QuietCast Premium Semi-Metallic Disc Brake Pad Set - Compatible with Select Audi Q7; Porsche Cayenne; Volkswagen Touareg; REAR

Installed 2010 Q7 TDI, paired with new Zimmerman rotors from FCPEURO. I was unsure about these with the reviews, but these feel identical to the Textar & pagid brake pads which are OEM SEMI METALLIC. I’ve done both the last 80k miles and these Bosch pads are very comparable in stopping power. They are semi metallic AS WELL. I was unsure because reviews were all over the place but if you replace rotors at the same time these I’m very happy with honestly. I’ll report back, I think I only got 20k miles out of the Textar front semi metallic brake pads. the rear Bosch pads came with both springs and brake sensors and brake grease.

These pads fit great and work flawlessly. This is my second set of replacement brake pads on our 2007 Audi Q7 (after the original factory pads). Previous pads were EBS YellowStuff pads, but they didn't have the brake wear sensors built-in like these do. Although ordering a separate set of brake wear pads weren't too bad, they did add a little extra cost to the brake job. With the Bosch brand and the convenience of having the wear sensors already in place, ready to go, the brake pad replacement job was a smooth swap. The package even included a generously-sized packet of grease, but I didn't use it since I already had that in my garage. These Bosch pads will be my go-to pads for our Q7 from now on.

2005 VW Touareg, V6 Perfect fit, great oem replacement. Do not grease the back of the pads, no reason for this. Just a dab and the bottom of each corner, if your taking the caliper off completely, grease the caliper bolts too. Note... you do not have to remove the caliper to replace the pads, just the cotter pin and retaining bracket

I purchased these for a 2011 Audi Q7 which is a heavy vehicle and eats through brakes. With the OEM pads the rims were continually black and I had to use special wheel cleaner. With these, no more black and what debris did collect on the rims could be washed off with regular car wash soap. I have about 40,000 miles on them and they still have life left on them. Quiet and have performed well. Would buy again.
