ORIGINAL REVIEW: Does not work - left me stranded during a presentation.UPDATE: We all make mistakes and when we are dealing with products (and services), there are some that just do not work. In my case, the original product I purchased did not. What matters the most to me, however, is how a company responds when a mistake happens or a device doesn't work properly. That is why I am updating my review of this company to a 5 STAR REVIEW because they not only stood behind their product but their customer service was OUTSTANDING in expediting a new product to me, without charge, which works perfectly. There was absolutely no hassle, they reached out to me and pushed the process along, and have been nothing but helpful along the way. I bought this adapter back in December of 2017 and it worked great. I was able to use it when i needed another screen to work on or needed to do a presentation. I didn't use the adapter everyday, but maybe 2-3 times a week. Around the end of 2018 I needed it for a presentation only to discover that it stopped working. I don't know the exact cause of the issue, but have tried numerous time with multiple computers with no luck. I do hear a small piece moving around on the inside so i assume something came loose during usage. Maybe this item would be good if it stays plugged in at your desk, but it broke for me from regular usage/ travelling to and from work in my bag in about a year. I'm leaving this review now, since I need to shop for a new one (don't want to keep bothering others to borrow). Hopefully this will help you make an informed choice.

The first one I ordered didn't work at all. I sent it back and it worked about 10 times and then failed. I don't recommend this product!

I love this item because it’s multi functional and I can just drop it in my purse and carry it everywhere. I work on the fly so it’s come very handy for me. It’s a must have for everyone who is computer savvy.

Not reliable! Works sometimes just don’t touch the cable or move or sneeze because the slightest touch and the connection is lost. Terribly annoying! Impossible to work with just faulty connection.

works very well with my 2017 macbook pro! I am able to use it to give presentations using either the vga or hdmi ports.

Works great so far. The materials are just light plastic.

This is a nice and convenient gadget to have.
