Howling's album Sacred Ground stands for many things at once: collaboration, improvisation, simplicity, unexpected happenstance. The original track 'Howling' exploded virally in early 2012 (via Dixon's Boiler Room set), though hardly past demo stage at the time, and proceeded to climb charts and win awards throughout electronic music. The track's two humble collaborators - singer/producer/folk-electronic artist Ry X and Ame producer/Innervisions leader Frank Wiedemann - never saw it coming. Nor did they expect that a few years later, despite being from two different sonic universes and living on two different sides of the world, their debut album would be pressed in Berlin. Sacred Ground will be released in May 2015 as a collaboration between Modeselektor's archetypal Berlin label Monkeytown and Counter, an imprint of Ninja Tune.

Subliminal, Minimilistic, Haunting and pure.....Genius
The best thing about Taken 3 is Howling's song Howling on the end credits. I hadn't heard of Howling before this and can't describe how amazing this music is. Obviously my own personal taste which is very varied but this group hits the spot on every level. If you want music to sing along to anytime anywhere in a relaxing way without putting you into a coma then this is for you. It's hard to say what the music this is like so I strongly recommend You Tubing them. I've since found out that Ry-X the lead singer is part of another group called The Acid and the Album Liminal is also stunning. I can't wait to see them live whenever the come back to the UK. Please give them a go. I can't stress enough how good they are!!!!!

First heard part of album on a film, had to get and not disappointed, fabulous album and great through huge speakers or decent head phones!

Pretty good, well nice beats, maybe a little cheesy in places, but generally a really good and really listenable album.

Searched for Howling after hearing them as sound track to Taken 3. Really different and quite addictive tunes!
