If you've never had truffle flavor with salty things, like fries or crackers or dips, this is a GREAT way to try it! It's got a faintly fermented taste, I guess, is how I'd describe it? Truffles are similar enough to mushrooms that the general taste is a good comparison. Like really concentrated, dried and powdered mushrooms, none of the mushy texture at all, cuz this IS salt.It has two lids, one for pouring and one for scooping. There might be a bit of clumping in your bottle, as there was in mine, but just shake it - with the lid closed! - to get rid of that for easier pouring. It's also a pretty bottle that you can definitely re-use!Very happy with this, the taste is -chef's kiss- exactly what I love about fancied-up French Fries you can get at upscale restaurants.

I love truffle salt, and decided to try a new brand. Compared to the black truffle salt I usually order from the San Francisco Salt Company, this brand has almost no taste of truffles.

This is great for fries or tots. Really classes up the side dishes. Nice truffle taste without being too chemical-this may be a personal thing but I usually don’t love truffle stuff because it tastes like chemicals. My spouse used it in his chicken burger and said it was good. Fun way to mix it up.

High on the salt flavor, very, very mild on the truffle side. It has a slight bit of earthy taste from the little bit of truffle in the blend, but you mostly get a salty taste. That being said, it is a richer saltiness than just straight salt. It adds a nice balance to just about any dish and is overall a nice seasoning salt to have on hand.

So good on top of pasta. I love anything truffle flavored, so being able to make things truffle flavored myself without breaking the bank on real truffle flakes is a wonderful experience. Just adding a dash of this to my pasta escaltes it to restaurant quality. I am super interested in trying the rest of the line, as this white truffle sea salt was very promising.

NOT ENOUGH OR TYPICAL TRUFFLE FLAVOR OR AROMA

This sea salt tastes great in various dishes. It does have small bits of truffles which the more discerning taste buds can most likely pick up on. I've used it on omelets and some vegetable dishes to good effect. Was happy to see that there was a safety seal, and a double functioning lid (sprinkle and pour). Keep it dry or the salt begins to clog the sprinkle holes.

In the past three days, I have tried this white truffle sea salt on homemade pizza, oven roasted chicken, oven roasted potatoes, fried potatoes and minestra. This sea salt did not impart any white truffle taste even though I could smell white truffle when I opened the little bottle. For the fried potatoes I added the salt after and I did taste the salt but again no hint of white truffle was noted. Maybe it is more of an infusion than actual truffles in the bottle. The bottle itself was glass and the top portion had a pour/shake section which are easy to open unlike some others. Since the salt is thicker and clumps together the shake portion was harder to use so I used the pour section most of the time.
