Be warned that although in the "product features" says it is universally compatible, it does not work with Windows 7, the first thing I tried. Without an eject button, I had my CD stucked in the unit. Luckily it does work with my MacBook and I recovered my CD.The unit came without the original manufacturer's box and packing, just a brown box with ill fitting foam inserts, there was also no manufacturer's label or product ID anywhere on the unit, a completely unidentifiable product. Returning to Amazon for not being universally compatible. I don't want two external CD/DVD drives one for Mac and another for Windows !
