Silverstein Works CRYO4 Ligature - Gold - Size 7

I am very happy with this ligature. Clearly, things such as ligature and mouthpieces, even the clarinet you play on are all subjective to each person. Mouthpieces have to be matched to each person based on how their anatomy of the mouth is shaped, their bite formation, etc... So, with that said... ligatures seem to have a bi polar importance to it's importance. I don't know the true answer, but I'd like to say that the ligature make more a difference not in the tone or sound, but the resistance and tone being offered based on the mouthpiece. With this ligature, I am confident enough to say, due to it's string design and the 4 adjustable plates on the side, that anybody with any setup can benefit with this ligature regardless of your mouthpiece design and your playing characteristics. You can brighten or darken the sound with the screw on top, you can change some resonate characteristics that are noticeable by moving the 4 bars on the side. I like warm sound, I like a round sound with the resonance like that of a bell. So, I attached two pictures to show what I ended up with. I play on what seems to be an unusual mouthpiece for an American player to play on, the Vandoren B40D German mouthpiece. You can see the string groves on the mouthpiece, so that was a big benefit for me with this ligature. I am very happy with this quality made product. And might I add, as a guy, we tend to like the box some of these type of things come in, and it comes in a neat box with a magnetic sealed flip lid! :-P (Note, be sure you follow the simple directions of how to put it on the mouthpiece, 2 string on the mouth side, 3 strings to the clarinet side)

This is a great ligature, but WAY overpriced!
