My Grandson lovers this set.

Not bad for the price.Sharp,balanced...but I am using for punching 24 gauge brass sheet. Ornamentation for cabinet insert. Works great and way less expensive than "tools" specifically made for the application. Lots of punch shapes for various hole shapes.

These are a good starter set, I wish the handles were finished better they were a little rough so I had to sand them smooth, the handles are also lighter then I prefer, and to be honest I only bought the set for a few of the blades, some of the edges needed to be polished and have some small burrs removed but nothing unexpected. Good value for the money

This is a very sufficient set for me as a beginner! It includes the tools necessary for basic techniques. Nice quality. Easy to hold and comfortable for my large hands. It’s a very nice starter for anyone itching to begin carving. As your skill progresses, you may even still find it quite sufficient! Very happy with this purchase!

Ok, about to order another one of these since the set i had was lost in a move. Fellow past consumers, meaning the ones complaining about the sharpness and durability of these carving tools..and any future consumers... i have some tips for you...1) READ!!! Your shopping for tools that you are expecting to use for carving something by hand... read the descriptions the seller has CLEARLY written out for you in the description for the item!! Nowhere does it say its super metal that can carve through anything!! It specifically mentions soft woods like basswood..ect... do not get these expecting to carve an indestructible masterpiece out of titanium... or marble!2) the blades of any carving tool is more likely to “snap” off when A. Your a newbie and not familiar with holding them in the proper manner. B. Your trying to carve a line in substances that take electrical carving tools... C. Your expecting a top of the line professional tool to come from a set that is under 10 bucks! Just for 1 professional wood carving knife from a top of the line carving tool manufacturer will run you anywhere from 30 to 150 bucks! And even those will snap if used improperly!3) three negative reports out of 80 does not make a bad product, especially for 10 bucks or less!4) 97% of any carving tools almost never come as sharp as you want them to be.... they are only sharpened enough to perform a small testing spot for quality assurance... I can’t be 100% positive on the reason for this; however I assume that it is because every seasoned whittler or experienced carving artist... develops their own style of handling their tools, angles, pressure... SHARPNESS... I spent my first year of carving learning how to hone my blades for every tool I own.. from my $70 knives to my cheap dollar store exacto blades! Because i am an ambidextrous carver and need them to be just as precise for my left hand as they are for my right hand.. not even my large collection of actual Swiss Army Pocket Knives come honed to my likeness! My point of this all... READ the descruption... WEIGH out the pros and cons of the comments! And by all means... please do not bash a manufacturer, creator, seller, or Amazon, for your lack of comprehension of written descriptions, or suggestions made by the manufacturer of the product!! They made these.. I am sure they would know what they can stand up to as far as strength!Take the extra five min to research things... or find a new hobby!

I'm new to carving and I think the value for this set is amazing. The product is great, works well, fits well in the hand and is comfortable.

Not sharp enough ,ones they are properly sharpend they work alright on soft wood.
