The Brick Bible: The Complete Set (Brick Bible Presents)

amazing book!
my children LOVE this book. They have hardly put it down since we got it. I hadn't realised before I bought it that it is word for word the bible so some bits not especially suitable for younger children! Even if you're not interested in the bible as such it's still a great read for adults or older children. so well put together.

An Amusing and Inventive picture book
We bought this for one of our grandsons. It caused a lot of amusement in my husband and the children as they looked at it together! Very clever of the 'author' to make all those pictures in Lego but also his sense of humour was appreciated. (Have you ever seen the Holy Spirit Dove look suspiciously like a parrot - ha ha!)

Great one volume work
Wonderful way to grab the attention of children in particular! My only comments are that The New Testament is heavy on the Book of Revelation and a couple New Testament illustrations are sadly anti-Catholic. Catholic parents should review before sharing with their children.

DO NOT BUY! Avoid all Brick Bible materials, whether child or adult.
This book is potentially extremely damaging for any child who reads it. After reading several stories, we decided to bin it. The text is accurate enough to make it appear like a 'Bible', but it misses out the important message of God's love and grace. The Gospel is entirely missing. God is exclusively angry, Jesus seems to enjoy blowing up the world and kicking people into hell. On researching further we found out that the author openly says he is an atheist. It shows!Furthermore the lego imagery includes nudity, sexually explicit material, extreme violence and, although it may be argued that the Bible does contain these things in places, the illustrator of this Bible clearly has an unhealthy interest in these things and has gone completely over the top. Mel Gibson's The Passion of the Christ would be a better resource for children, for anyone. At least the Passion of the Christ contains the message of the Gospel. All this is a great pity - as the illustrator has put a lot of work into this - but the results are extremely negative and totally destructive. This is a travesty of the Bible completed by an atheist who seems to have an agenda. Not recommended for children. Not recommended for adults either.Believe the negative reviews. I can't believe there are so many positive ones, especially those claiming to use it in Sunday school. I can only assume they haven't read it very carefully - or are selecting the passages used very carefully.

This is such a brilliant bible version for young children who love Lego as well. The illustrations are all Lego figures thus relating in a way that ordinary pictures cannot. Excellent delivery, and extremely good value for an excellent book.

Perfect if its the right age
The media could not be loaded. I like the concept of using brick to tell the storyI bought this for my 9yrs old for her bday. Found it a bit too graphic. It shows a naked woman who was giving birth with blood all over. It was my 7 yrs old who pointed out a he was naked and asking why .Considering I told him babies come from Tommy via csection I was at a loss what to say. I had to take away the bible for when they are a bit older

My 13 year old loves this
I bought this as a confirmation present for my 13 year old son. I was worried that he might think it was too babyish but he loves it and has hardly put it down since receiving it. His friends at the confirmation were pouring over it too. I know that if I had bought him an adult bible, or even a youth one, it would have sat on the shelf gathering dust but this one will be read from cover to cover. A must buy for any Christian Lego enthusiast.

Brilliant.its Amazing how the biblical story can be made so funny and entertaining. Great gift for believers and non-believers. Although probably not suitably for children, since its very faithful to the source material so is very graphic.

A must have collector's item!
This amazing box set comes with two volumes, namely, the old and new testaments of the Bible. All of the verses are explained in a satirical manner using Legos, which give a graphical and often hilarious representation to all of the verses. These books are definitely not meant for children, as they give literal interpretations for all verses in the Bible, some of which obviously include adult content. This book is also not meant to be used for serious bible studies, as the apparent aim of the author is to trivialize the content. It is great as a casual read, and will be appreciated by those who are not ardent Christians, and who can laugh at oft serious topics which are rarely discussed at the local Parish.Personally i loved the representations and the detail with which Legos from varying sets have been used together. A truly imaginative masterpiece!

Seems funny but it's the actual Bible!
Excellent hilarious telling of the actual Bible. It's totally written with the actual passages of the bible and everything but done in a lego style which is actually pretty incredible. A lot of effort went into this and I've enjoyed re-reading the bible. As an atheist and from atheist family, ew actually read the bible as a work of literature (ancient myths). This illustrates the stories in a brand new and enjoyable way. I recommend this both to atheists and Christians alike!
