I came to this product whilst looking for a more affordable dupe for the Then I Found You Cleansing Balm. There are about 150 Korean made cleansing balms on the market but most of them do not have an Essential Oil as the first and second ingredient. TIMY does, and after much looking, I realized that Byomas melting balm did as well. So it was obviously of high quality, almost completely natural ingredients. Olive oil is the first oil and Grape Seed is the second-exactly the kind of thing I wanted to see. The price was amazingly affordable as well, about 60% off the TIMY price, with a commensurate amount of product. Once I had purchased the balm, I was thrilled at the sensual, tactile experience of using it. It melted like a dream at my finger tips, spreading across my skin like silk; smelling delicious and removing all of my makeup on the first pass. The Balm assured my skin’s hydration but did not cause me to break out or for my t-zone to become more oily. I loved TIMY but in this economy couldn’t justify $40 for a portion of a very pedantic skin care routine. I’m thankful for my frugality because I actually like Byoma’s product better. Long story short? Buy it. If you are even looking at The Fence, go ahead and buy it. You will use it up and save money while doing so!

Velvety balm melts into an oil that rinses off cleanly and leaves my skin soft and hydrated. The scent reminds me of a spa massage. Effectively removes makeup and skincare and controls oil for hours. Unique ingredients that deep clean and leave skin feeling soft and nourished without causing breakouts. Criminally negged and underrated skincare product! The negative reviews here are concerning- this is a CLEANSER. It will remove makeup like foundation, lip stain, spf, etc but it’s not a makeup remover- DO NOT rub it into your eyes to remove your waterproof mascara! It has surfactants! It warns you that it’s an eye irritant. Get a makeup remover to take off your waterproof eye makeup, this is a skin CLEANSER. It’s also not just a pre-cleanse, it’s a stand alone cleanser that doesn’t require a second cleanse. You CAN use it that way but that’s not all it is. It’s weird that this listing says “follow with your preferred second cleanser”because that doesn’t appear on the packaging or anywhere else. It actually says everywhere else that this is your cleansing step, follow with toner, including on the -recyclable- packaging that’s big enough to read. It’s only wasteful packaging if you’re not recycling it This is a beautiful nourishing cleanser for all skin types and does not contain glycerin.

If you need something that melts even your most stubborn/waterproof make up off your face, this balm is it! Goes on smooth, little goes a long way. Has a very mild scent and has never irritated my sensitive skin. Leaves you feeling clean without overdrying or stripping your skin. I don’t have to immediately run an grab moisturizer. Since you only use a little, I’ve had the same tub for almost 2 months so I’d say on top of being an amazing product it’s also a great value for your money. 10/10 would recommend

This would be a 5 star because I love this product to take makeup and sunscreen off but why does it come in the biggest and clunkiest packaging. Totally unnecessary and made of the thickest plastic. I honestly don’t know if I will repurchase because I can’t justify that amount of plastic for the small amount of product they put it. Such a waste for a product that tries to seem “clean”. Texture is nice though. I have sensitive skin and it did leave it soft without breaking out. It has a citronella smell so be warned if you don’t like that but it’s not overbearing. Overall love the product but the packing is a HUGE turn off.

You might be wondering why I'm giving this 4 stars instead of 5 since it does the difficult job of getting stubborn mineral sunscreen off. And that's only because it took 2-3x the recommended amount on the bottle to get it off. However, this is still the first product that i've been able to find that gets it all off. I am happy with the product. But it loses a star, because it requires much more product to be used. And therefore I will be going through this a lot quicker because of that. Having said that the price isn't crazy so i dont mind that too much. It makes my skin feel nice after use. I added this before my regular routine of the Mad Hippie cleansing milk and followed by the Mad Hippie triple c night cream and I'm face feels better than it's has in a very long time! Its a nice addition to my skincare lineup. I can totally see myself buying this product again as well as maybe exploring some of their products in the future!

I love a good balm for removing my makeup. This is definitely a good balm. it removes makeup quickly and easily. It wipes off like a dream. Most important, it does not leave behind any kind of greasy feeling. I also love the packaging, cute, colorful and I like the way it feels in my hands.

This is the best cleansing balm I’ve ever tried and I have tried many. It completely gets my makeup off, doesn’t sting or blur my eyes. It also rates 100 on the Yuka app.

Smells horrid. Hard to spread on my skin. Made my eyes burn. Returned. (Plus, don't you think "Byoma" sounds like a cancerous tumor?)
