Great read
Although this was a purchase made a few months ago, my daughter and I have been reading this during the season of lent (the book divides the stories per Catholic season, i.e. Ordinary Time, Lent, Advent..etc). It warmed my heart to have my daughter with me at church and exclaim that she knew the stories from the readings at mass because we read them from this book. This book will be read over and over again!

Love this book
This book is wonderful. The stories are a little too long to keep the attention of my 2 and 5 year olds but it is perfect for reading to my 11 year old. The pictures add a wonderful touch and the stories are easy to understand and follow. My 6th graded often asks me to read these to him out loud after his younger siblings have fallen asleep. Super sweet.

My 5yo is really enjoying the stories
Bought this before the lent season. Went through the lent-specific stories with him and am well into the easter-specific. This is educational to me as well as i never understood the structure of the stories in relation to when the readings were read at church. Puzzle pieces are falling into place.

LOVE THIS!
I use this book to start our homeschool days. My girls love curling up on the couch and hearing all about these classic must know Bible stories. I love how it is laid out to coincide with Mass weekly readings. We will be using this for many years and it's appropriate for many age levels. The questions and mini prayers at the end are great to start conversations about a deeper understanding of God & Jesus and their role in our daily lives. Highly recommend!

Great for teaching the most important biblical stories
I am a Catholic school teacher who has started using this book in my class. It is very well written and has immense educational value. It is very different than other children's bibles that simply retell the stories in simpler language. The author has added a lot of extra information to each story in order to connect each story to the reader's prior knowledge. There are also very good discussion questions at the end of each reading. Additionally, the book is organized according to liturgical season instead of chronologically. I wasn't sure if this would be a good idea when I ordered the book, but it turns out that this was a very good choice. It presents the stories in roughly the same order that you would expect to hear at church, and it deepens the reader's understanding of each liturgical season. And most importantly, the kids really enjoy hearing these stories. I would prefer if there were more old testament stories included because the book is a bit light on those.
