Very nice surface area and colorful bag to keep it in to avoid dust getting onto the stone. The basket the stone is in also protects the countertop.

Love this beautiful small mortar pestle and it's so easy to maintain as well. We seasoned it before using and it works perfectly.

The mortar itself is great, just make sure to check the basket below it. We removed ours to clean our stone before use and it was covered in mold. Afterwards we realized the top of it had some between the braids too which we had initially missed. Im really glad we happened to try to check underneath for cleaning cause it was really gross. Will also be washing the bag since its probably in there too. The stone is still really nice so well be keeping it and it made a great powder when we tested it with salt. We'll find a rubber mat of some sort to keep it in place when using.

Fabulous grinder. Lovely size and comes in a wicker type holder so does not bang on the counter top. Lovely size it. Highly recommend
