Home Health castor Oil is a great product! Used topically, castor oil has natural antioxidant properties, and absorbed into the skin it helps to naturally minimize and prevent wrinkles as well as stretch-marks, and it even conditions hair when added in small amounts to shampoo or deep conditioner treatment! For topical use, my top two brands of choice are: Home Health or Now Foods/Solutions, For Internal use smoothies/nutritional supplementation, only use castor oil that specifically says for the occassional relief of constipation such as Walgreens Castor Oil, Sunmark Castor Oil (here on Amazon), or any pharmacy brand specifically marked for internal use--which is awesome also: Not only does Castor Oil aid with digestion, constipation and the occasional upset tummy, -- for those with dry or sensitive skin issues related to eczema, psoriasis, etc., a mere 1-tbsp of castor oil, taken once, every 2-3days (in smoothies or plain coconut water) assists the body in maintaining essential moisture balance levels/dew points from the inside out! Great Castor Oil Tips: 1. For digestion : 1-tbsp castor oil to your favorite smoothie or vegetable juice (taken once every 3 days) for healthy skin that glows- from the inside out! Try Walgreens or Sunmark brands specifically for internal use as digestive aids. 2. For hair growth: Add about 1/2-tsp of Sublimed yellow Sulfur powder to 4-ounces of food grade Golden Castor Oil in a small 4-4.5ounce size nozzle/tint/applicator bottle for a superior growth aid (helps with mild to moderate forms of alopecia and general thinning). Look up Sulfur Yellow castor oil recipes on you tube to get ideas for customizing growth-oil blends. There are a lot of various recipes, but the main essential ratio is 1/2 - 3/4 tsp Sublimed Yellow Sulfur Powder to 4oz Oil base (the best blends use Golden Castor Oil, either on it's own or in a super blend of Castor +/plus Emu Oil -- but if you are sensitive to sulfur, you can use golden castor oil +/plus emu oil on its own). 3. For Skin: Also, a little added yellow/golden Castor Oil and natural vitamin E to a base of Coconut Oil or Jojoba Oil (ratios about: 1 part vitamin e oil, to 10 parts coconut oil and ½-part to 1 part castor oil) combine to make for a great all-natural body oil with full-on anti-aging properties! Note: If skin is very oily, use it to spot treat areas (under eye area, stretchmarks, dry patches, hands feet) overnight and rinse in the morning. If skin is very dry, then daily use,full-on for the entire face and body will leave your skin noticeably supple and smooth and o-so--soft! Apply full strength overnight to dry hands and feet (cover with cotton socks and cotton gloves). Walgreens makes a great internal-usage Castor Oil and either Now Solutions or Home Health brands are awesome for any hair-to-skin Topical needs and for serious hair growth blends use both golden/yellow and black castor oil blends for awesome results (try Tropic Isle Jamaican black Castor Oil for amazing hair product blends)!! Have you ever heard of using castor oil (cold pressed and all natural, yadda yadda) in order to make your lashes long and eyebrows thicker? I'd heard it a few times before, but I finally decided to do some research on it. I found mixed reviews on whether castor oil could help with hair growth, and I read that if you're going to use castor oil, you have to get the pure stuff, with nothing mixed in it. When I found this huge container of it, I knew I had to have it. Only $9. Wow. So I've been using this stuff at least five times a week, at night before bed, for two weeks. Honestly, my lashes are so much thicker and longer. Okay, back story: I've been wearing mascara for almost ten years. If you don't properly remove make up at night, you can damage your eyelashes and the follicles and such. I decided that I would be more gentle, not on my own terms, but because my eyelashes don't look the same anymore! I was noticing that my lashes aren't as luscious as they once were. That's the only reason I decided to give castor oil a try. I started out by cleaning an old mascara brush, as I read you can use it to apply the castor oil. I poured some of this oil into an old face lotion jar that had been cleaned out (please don't try to dunk your old mascara brush in the big jar of oil-- it's so big, you don't want to risk contaminating the whole thing). I started putting on the oil like mascara. First thing I noticed is that it's gooey and thick. I was scared of getting it in my eyes! But I managed just fine. I put it on my top lashes and my bottom lashes, and my eyebrows (I'll try my actual scalp later). This stuff stains, so I totally recommend placing a satin fabric down on your pillowcase if you think you'll smear it on there). I did stain my pillow case but I used an oil remover in my laundry and that worked just fine. Nothing seemed to be happening the first week, although I thought I noticed more hairs starting to grow. This is my third week and I wish I could show you photos. I might just start taking photos once a week and seeing the difference over time. If I do, I'll post them! I went from thin lashes that weren't too cute even with mascara on, to having longer, thicker lashes. These lashes seriously could fan those you're walking by. They look so good now! Of course, I've been using free mascara from ULTA-- PRO TIP!!! If you haven't signed up for Ulta Rewards and you aren't subscribed to their newsletter, you MUST. They give away free mascara all the time. The mascara they give away is always worth $10+. I haven't bought mascara in months. However, you do need to spend money, but you can purchase ANYTHING. So I always get new nail polish, not even $3, haha. Do it! Get their newsletter and their rewards club. Read their emails! They're there frequently. I was shy at first, because I thought: "How can you give away free mascara?" But they do! And it's the expensive stuff. DO. IT. -- so they look better than before anyways, but mascara can't make you grow more lashes. This stuff does! As for my eyebrows, they're becoming noticeably thicker. I usually take a razor to them just to shape them out, and I accidentally gave myself very thin lines for eyebrows, so the process of waiting for them to grow back has been long and embarrassing. I even would put on black mascara because my eyebrows are naturally light colored, even though I have dark brown hair. Let me tell you, I haven't put mascara on my eyebrows in weeks. They look much better because they're darker and fuller. I so recommend this for your lashes and brows! Yes, $9 seems like a lot if you don't know what you're getting. Some people say it doesn't work for them, but it worked for me. I can attest to it. I've been telling my sisters and mom, who have already wondered if they should get it or not-- I was there living sign! Just do it, you won't regret it. My results came atypically fast, I think, but I still use it every night. Sometimes I don't even use my mascara wand, I just use my fingers and massage it in there deeply. Also, castor oil is a great moisturizer, so don't be afraid to put it on your creases and all around your eyes. Be very careful, though! This was an awesome buy. You can't get this stuff for $60 at a mall at the beauty department. This is a hidden gem. I totally recommend it.

I have received no monetary gains from this product , no coupons, no review for free product, or anything that profits me for a review or free product. I purchased this product with my own money and have used this product consistently. This is my honest opinion of the product and observations about the effectiveness, and results from use of the product. Now that's out of the way on to the review. There is absolutely nothing I can find in searching that backs up the "glass bottles only for castor oil". As long as it is in PET bottles it's ok. PET plastic is food safe and doesn't leach into contents. Having said that, I poured this oil into 4 very nice 8 oz amber glass pump bottles which I bought for the looks, and the great price, not just because they're glass. I gifted 3 of the bottles to various people and kept one for myself. I probably would have split it into smaller containers anyway, but those amber bottles were so pretty, LOL, and the price was soooo good. At any rate this castor oil is very good. It doesn't stink too much, it is thick, and it does what it's supposed to do. I use it on my eyelashes and eyebrows , and for my hair. I apply it to the entire eye area including the brows, lash line, eyelids, and under the eye. This oil absolutely helps with those dark smudges and bags under the eyes. The bags haven't disappeared completely yet but are greatly improved. The dark under eye smudges are greatly reduced also. They may disappear completely with continued applications. Time will tell. There is one unexpected benefit. I applied the oil to a scar I have had on my forehead since I was 6 years old. I was running in the house and slipped on a rug and hit my head on the baseboard of the couch. It opened a gash approximately 2 to 2 1/2 inches wide. It took approximately 12 -15 stitches to close it up. I had been applying a little castor oil to the scar. It has improved a lot more than my eyebrows or lashes. I can just barely see it. Even the little dots where the thread went through are nearly invisible now. So if you have scars this oil might help. This oil isn't magic. I take with more than a grain of salt all the people saying that their hair grew back in a week! You might see baby hairs in a week but not lengthy hair. I've been using this consistently for approximately a month. I have noticed growth in my eyebrows and lashes. Not excessive growth but better than it was. So the oil HAS helped but not to an insane degree. I added rosemary oil and tea tree oil to my castor oil and recently purchased some pumpkin seed oil to add as well. Tea tree oil will take care of scalp mites and dandruff. Rosemary oil and pumpkin seed oil have proven in studies and scientific testing to stimulate hair growth. Pumpkin seed oil and rosemary oil will also block DHT which is from androgens which will cause hair loss and slow growth. DHT can also cause you to grow hair on your chin and upper lip. Stinging nettle root, and pumpkin seed extract, or pumpkin seeds, saw palmetto and several other things will block DHT. I take 2 capsules of nettle root every day, 500 mg. The thing about the oil is that you have to be consistent with it every day for skin issues, eyebrows and lashes, once or twice a week for hair and scalp. It is Not a quick fix. It will show results but it does take time. I haven't tried a liver pack yet so I can't speak to that. So far I am pleased with this oil, you may be also if you keep your expectations realistic and be consistent, and be patient. Just like anything else it may work better for some people than others. I have had moderately good results. Results may get better with longer use. So overall I have had a positive experience with this oil. It's great that it's all natural no chemicals or other substances. So I am giving this product 5 stars. For; value for money, ease of use, effectiveness, many uses and applications.
