I am like Shane Carpenter here. In his review he describes trying all kinds of different models. My experience has been just as frustrating. It always seemed crazy that a simple trimming of my facial hair would be this difficult to accomplish in today's advanced technological age. I am glad to say I am done looking for the perfect trimmer.... this thing is compact, incredibly easy to use, ergonomically designed, effective and with a long-lasting battery. Incredibly accurate. The engineer(s) that came up with this design should get a raise. It is truly satisfying to use! It is not water resistant, and that's the only drawback, but I can deal with that. It is extremely easy to clean and it includes a little cleaning brush. I am buying a second one for use in other regions of my body; and just in case they stop making it. I am so happy with this thing! My wife is tired of hearing me talk about how special this everyday item is for me. lol 8/19/2018 UPDATE: This thing still amazes me. It is truly a pleasure to use. I decided I would do a test trimming hair in the more difficult areas of my body. Yes, I went there... And IT WORKED PERFECT!!!! 👌😉 Needless to say, I have two now. One dedicated to private area trimming. This thing can handle any hair (coarse hair included), and unlike many trimmers that specialize in trimming the private area, the adjustable comb on this baby does a tremendous job of helping lift and cut the hairs (practically without any effort). You don't have to worry about nicks, cuts, or other horrendous mishaps when the adjustable comb is in place. Just go to town swiftly, and confidently! Even at the lowest setting, you will experience a safe, quick and much more relaxing trimming experience. The design on this thing is so nice, it lends itself to any hair cutting job. I am flippin' DELIGHTED!!! 💖💪

TWO-YEAR UPDATE: I still love these clippers, and the battery is still going strong! I still marvel at how easy it is to brush out the cutting block and guard. I haven’t actually checked to see if they’re still making this model, but if they are, I might grab another one prematurely, just to be sure I have one if mine ever dies. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I've had this clipper for a little over a month, and I'm quite happy with it. Overall it's five stars, with a couple of minor issues. Probably my only complaint with merit is that it could be more ergonomic. It's fairly comfortable to hold, but without looking at it, there's really no way to tell whether or not the on/off button is under your thumb. So either make the button a little more distinct (or possibly a different material, like a softer silicone) or make the body curve a bit more so that it naturally falls into your hand with the button under your thumb. Then you could still flip it over as you use it on different areas of your face, but you'd always know which way was up. In terms of the actual operation, it's great. I frequently touch-up and edge without the guard on, and I love how easy it is to slip the guard on and off -- and how easy to clean the cutting block is. I've never felt a need to do more than brush it off. The battery life is astounding. They recommend fully charging it before first use, then using it until the battery is dead. I've been using it 5-6 days a week for more than a month, and it's just now slowing down from that initial charge. (That's mostly quick touch-ups, with 1-2 more significant trims per week.) I've noticed that some reviews complain about longevity. I haven't owned it long enough to comment on that, except to say that my experience so far has been so good that I think I'd still consider it a good value for the price and would most likely buy it again if it lasts a year. Longer would be better, of course, but I think I'd feel satisfied paying $2.50 a month for the convenience and ease of use that this clipper offers.

Got a single use out of this trimmer before it stopped taking a charge. I disassembled it and the only oddity I can find is a white residue in various spots on the circuit board. But, whatever the case, this thing is a piece of junk.

Firstly, I order from Amazon quite a bit. I have a membership, have 2 FireTV devices etc. Generally I don't experience too many problems, but occasionally I run into a bad order. I ordered the beard trimmer NEW - It arrived quickly, functions as expected, but the booklet says that the beard trimmer needs to be fully charged before 1st use. It says the charging light will flash while charging and then go steady green when it is fully charged. It doesn't. The light is steady green all the time while it charges, so you don't know when it is fully charged. And YES, I fully discharged the trimmer purposely until there was NO Charge. I plugged it in to begin charging, light was steady green. Stayed steady green 24hs 48hrs 72 hrs later - still green. Thank god overcharging the battery is not a issue. The beard trimmer works great, very happy with it, but I can never tell how much charge is in it or when it is fully charged. I just leave it plugged in for 14 hrs or so and then unplug it. It seems to work fine using it while it's plugged in too, so that's a plus. The box that it came in looked opened and resealed. I say this because I am suspicious if someone had used it for a while, abused it, then sent it back in for a better one. People are known to do this - see my review of my BenQ 1080p Projector. It can get aggravating.
