An interesting storyline.
Looking at the cover, I was wondering if we were looking at another Borg style book, where the earth is going to be subsumed into the 'collective'. And, that is sort of the goal of the ultimate enemy. The book opens with a fight scene on a planet far, far away, within an empire at war with itself. One side develops a super weapon that is supposed to create super-soldiers. The other side tries to take out the lab developing the weapon but....They get away...and make it to Earth who does not realize that the aliens (who are remarkably human looking...) are amongst us.The weapon gets away, creates havoc (and a few more of it's own kind by accident) and the story gets more exciting from there. Does the Earth get populated by Zombies? Do the aliens win? This story has lots of action, a leading man realizing how big the universe actually is, some betrayal, a love interest and technology that is not too far out for Earth to fight back...hard....An enjoyable book.

Surprising!
Got this on a whim, and it turned out to be a very pleasant read. Quick and easy to get through, but the story held my interest and the writer's style is very consistent throughout. The story was enjoyable, the characters were comfortably developed, and it was an all around good read.

great sci-fi thriller
This is a great quick read. Well written especially for a new writer. As a vet I really appreciate the attention to detail with the gear used and battle scenes. I would be really interested in a prequel or sequel to this book to see how the story started and plays out.

Good read
Got this book because the cover reminded me of old school retro sci-fi. It was an interesting read and had good character development. Also it wasn't plaqued by spelling and grammitcal errors.

True surprise
Loved it. Seached to see if the author had a sequel and found none. I truly enjoyed Dawn of the mad. My favorite authors are King, Burke, Sandford, Deaver, Lehane and Huckabay!
