Does the job well with minimal effort
I’ve been shopping for chamber vacuum sealers for about a year now. Many of the models I found look like they are industrial, way too big, or international shipping would cost nearly as much as the appliance itself. This one caught my eye because it looked presentable enough to keep in the kitchen, was large enough that it would take the biggest vacuum sealer bags I need, and was small enough that it didn’t require me to get rid of any of my existing appliances. The price was reasonable, so I decided to buy it despite not having any reviews. It arrived triple-boxed, with thoughtful placement of packing paper. I read through the entire instruction booklet right away. There were several grammatical errors, but I understood what the manufacturer was saying. I installed the sealing bar (in which you simply push it into place), connected the power cable, and it was ready to go.My first attempt failed to seal. I realized that with the lid open, you can press the sealing button and adjust the sealing time up or down. I increased it to 4. My second attempt failed with the error E01 on the LCD, and I believe this happens when you don’t gently press the top down for a second or two when it first starts sealing. This was my fault. My third attempt partially sealed, and I knew from my first attempt that I needed to increase the sealing time slightly, so I changed it to 4.5. The setting you need may vary depending on the vacuum sealer bags you use, but 4.5 worked for me.I made some soft ice packs with water and isopropyl alcohol, something I wasn’t able to do very easily with the vacuum sealer I bought more than 10 years ago. It’s almost grilling season, and these are nice to keep food at safe temperatures when it’s hot out.The machine beeps twice each time you use it, and I’d prefer the beeping to be a little quieter. The vacuum pump is a little loud (as expected), so I won’t be using this late at night, but I’m happy with my purchase. I would recommend it to anyone who has a need to vacuum seal marinated foods, liquids like stews and soups, or other items that wouldn’t seal easily with an inexpensive consumer-grade sealer.

Worked right out of the box. Watch YouTube vids.
Worked straight out of the box. There are youtube videos about this model from Wevac and from reviewers. First time it worked. We have also already tried liquids. The machine feels premium. I have had a Foodsaver for at least 5 years and wanted to be able to seal liquids. This does the job and easy to use.

Great hybrid chamber+ traditional vacuum sealer for a good price.
I have used vacuum sealers for years, but this was my first dip into the world of a chamber vacuum sealer. Right off the bat I can say that a traditional vacuum sealer cannot compare. I did ham-hocks and small slabs of bacon to cure, carne asada with the liquid marinade, and prepped a bunch of meatballs for easy spaghetti. Everything turned out great and I didn't have to pre-freeze the meatballs! Weeks later there is still no air or ice crystals on my frozen products, which often happens with a traditional saver type of sealer.Pros:Excellent suction and sealing on appropriately sized bags. The "Auto" function makes this practically a plug & go product.Very reasonable costHybrid /traditional vacuum sealing for items too long for the sealer.Light weight for a chamber vacuum sealer, so it is more portableDoesn't overheat with frequent use (unlike my other sealer)Customizable sealing timeGreat customer service (though there are very limited hours)Cons:Bag has to be aligned just perfectly if you are trying to seal a 10 inch wide bag, as there is a 10 inch bar (No over lap at all).Single bar sealing - double would be better.Poor directions for making custom bags. At the time of this review, there are no instructional videos for this. Conclusion:Overall very nice product for smaller items (8wx10L seems to be the optimal size ). Wish I would have gotten the larger one though as I do quite a few big projects.

Leftovers without freezer burn!!!
Works perfectly, especially for leftovers. Can now double/triple recipes, freeze for future without freezer burn. Also great for bulk buying and packaging separately for ease in meal prep!

It was great. Until it wasn't. Which was after well less than 6 months of use.
I bought this back in March, but only tested it to make sure it worked then re-boxed it as I was waiting to close on my new home. I've only been using it since mid April, and it stopped sealing by end of September. The sealing bar doesn't even warm up now so while it's reasonably priced for a chamber sealer it's WAY overpriced for a gigantic marinator - which is all it will do without sealing being an option. For the price you're better off finding a more reliable brand because this is apparently not it.To note it doesn't get moved or jostled. Because of the size and the fact I do a lot of cooking sous vide it had a permanent place where it could be used. I was sealing a bunch of items separately to freeze and use later and it died mid-stream. So it worked on the first package then on no others. Up until this it had worked quite well, other than the vacuum occasionally leaving air in the bags. Some bags had not sealed properly sometimes but before it broke I assumed it was the bags at issue, since they occasionally failed using my regular sealer as well. The bags are also Wevac, BTW. Overall I'm left with the feeling that for the price I probably should have considered the Anova instead.
