Use the zipties!
I don't write reviews a lot but I really want to point out the zipties really showed that the seller knows what is involved in installing one of these.If you are a beginner, like me, remember to use the zip ties!So after you take out the spring, you need to put the spring back on, but the spring is fully extended right? So you loop the zip ties on opposite ends of the spring and while you compress the spring, tighten the zip ties, do this a couple of times until you can't compress anymore, at that point you can finally put the spring back on the clutch. Then cut them and remove with the pliers.Honestly I can see how this could be a 10 minute job if you are experienced, but it took me about an hour (with 10 minute test drive with no spring), and since it was wet outside, it was a bit of a gymnastic exercise to get to the clutch upside down inside the car.I know none of that is relevant to the product, just wanted to help others if they want this.On the spring itself, 10/10 definitely recommend. Without the spring I like the part pressing in after the engagement point, but HATE how it feels coming back up and letting go, "sluggish" is really the only word for it. I'd recommend driving for a bit with the factory spring, then without the spring and see how it feels, then you'll realize why this spring perfectly fixes the sluggish feel.Had some fun driving around the neighborhood testing it, will update this review after a few months of commute.

Tried installing this on my facelift BRZ
Worked well, it was such a pain to get under the dash to install this. The zip ties included are pretty strong and i'm surprised it didn't snap. The spring itself was a way more springy than the stock one (extremely stiff). After installing this, I don't have to guess as much when finding the bite point. It feels a bit harder (not as hard as no spring) to clutch in compared to stock but the best part is that it does not kick back as hard when you're letting off the clutch. Would recommend for anyone that owns FRS/GT86/BRZ looking to upgrade their driving experience.

I don’t typically write reviews, but I am doing this because I wish someone would have written one prior to me purchasing this spring. In short, it’s a good bet.If you are here then you know the stock clutch spring for the FRS/BRZ is no good. I was looking for one from MTEC but they are harder to find nowadays. I saw this and figured it was a low risk bet given the price.I’ve only driven the car for a couple hours since installing it. I’ve done heel-toe, stop and go traffic, and a few sprints. All I can say is the clutch pedal now feels “normal.” In other words, I don’t think about it anymore. It doesn't feel any stiffer to me, just better. Again, it feels like it should. Nothing special, and that’s the point.Another way to look at it is you can’t make it feel any WORSE than stock, so give it a go. I’m happy with this purchase.
