I can say I feel it being light weight, but I enjoy playing with it. The wooden edges are a little too cutting after a prolonged game time.It requires more power if you want to drive a ball fast. The rubber isn't as bouncy as other paddles I got for similar price.With some practice you get to enjoy and control when you want a light touch to the ball and when you want a harder bounce. Rolling the ball is not as easy. I think the rubber lost a little of it's grip on the ballThe pouch is okay. Can even fit 5-6 balls on the sides of the handle. Which make it easier to carry as it's no bulky.

For the price this is an awesome paddle!! And you get two and a case very affordable and functional

The paddles appeared to be good quality with a "king" fancy case. We thought about splurging on a quality paddle (not the case). The paddle felt heavy to me but not my husband. We decided to return it because of poor delivery packaging (why force us to accept a torn box opened set); we received the original box torn and opened. We are surprised that the Amazon staff did not put the package into a delivery box or bag. Good luck to this company trying to sell opened box products.

I'm just an amateur that likes to play ping pong. I've always used cheap paddles with surfaces that are usually slick to begin with and get worse over time. Until I used this paddle, I never realized how much difference a really good paddle can make. My skill level magically improved instantly when I used this paddle. The thick, fresh hitting surfaces are gummy enough to put spin in the ball and to hit it where you want it. The multi-layered handle and blade are smooth and comfortable, but unless I carefully weighed this paddle I wouldn't notice it being much lighter than less expensive paddles. The paddle comes with a very nice hard-sided, zippered case for protection.

For the price, this paddle seems pretty good for a novice like myself. I picked up a similarly priced paddle from another brand and like this one better. This one appears to actually have two carbon layers (other brand I ordered said it did but upon inspection I could not see any). I also notice a sound difference with this paddle. When hitting the ball, it makes a much more solid clack sound versus a hollow sound from the other paddle. Maybe this is due to the added stiffness from the carbon layer. In terms of differences in rubber, I can’t say I notice a huge difference between paddles at this price point, but again I’m still relatively novice and don’t know the intricacies of paddles. Overall, the rubber is tacky enough to create good spin. I feel like I’m able to control the ball pretty well with this racket. Very pleased with this paddle for recreational use.Also, it comes with a case which was a nice surprise for me. The inside of the case is a felt like material, however, so I’m not sure if this will constantly collect dust and dirt and get the paddle extra dirty.

The media could not be loaded.  I'm upgrading from an old paddle of similar build quality, but without carbon fiber. I'm not actually sure where the carbon fiber comes in here, and I don't see 7 layers of wood. But that part doesn't matter much. The bigger issue is how the 2 sides play so differently.I've only ever played with a paddle that plays the same on both sides. I only recently became aware of the fact that some paddles play differently on the different sides. Even though the description doesn't say anything about the 2 sides being different, they definitely are. The photo shows that the pads are of different thicknesses. The black side has an amazing amount of pop; the red side plays more like what I'm used to.Now, I'm no pro, so I don't know if there's actually anything wrong with this paddle. It seems well-made, and the surface seems to be of a high-tack rubber that I like on my paddles. But I can barely play with this thing right now, due to how much pop the black side has. It's going to take some getting used to. I'm tempted to knock off a star or two, but this might be the way it's supposed to work.This seems like a good value for the money, and provides a nice option for someone who wants a paddle with different options. If you just want a nice new paddle with good feel and a grippy surface for spin, and you don't want to deal with a learning curve, this one might not be for you. But if you want to add some speed to your game and are willing to adjust to this kind of paddle, it might be a way to level-up your game.
