Good size for travel
I'd say this umbrella is nearly as big as a traditional umbrella. It provided plenty of coverage for me this morning when it was raining. This umbrella is great for individual use but may be a bit small for multiple people. The storage bag it comes with is black velvet. I'm not sure why they used this material instead of umbrella material which I've seen others use, but it works well. If anything, it's easier to put the umbrella in this bag and you're probably less likely to misplace it.The pop-up feature works well so far. One thing I do like is that when putting the umbrella back down, the rib ends don't have to be stowed in the umbrella handle like most others I've seen. Perhaps that's the reason for the storage bag. There is a good size air vent in the middle to help relieve pressure differences between the two sides, i.e. allow the wind to pass through. It was a little breezy this morning and I didn't notice the umbrella being tugged from my hand. It wasn't a windstorm, so I don't know how good it would be in that situation, but the ventilation certainly helps. By the way, I didn't experience any leakage through the vent.It was raining pretty good, yet most of the water just rolled off once I got inside. I left it out to dry and it was fully dry within an hour.I've seen smaller travel umbrellas, but this one's still small enough to stow in an overnight bag or in a water bottle pocket on a backpack. It provides better coverage than the smaller umbrellas I've used.

Perfect!!!!!
It's easy to close and that was important to me. I love the handle and color. It's very durable.

Great - slightly larger than most travel size and seems to be durable
This seems to be a good quality built umbrella; the claim of "windproof" I believe is based on the fact that after a strong wind turns the umbrella inside out, it will go back into its original shape without breaking. So don't read "windproof" to mean it won't turn inside out if a strong wind catches it from the underside - but although you may get a little wet, your umbrella won't be ruined and you won't then be standing in the rain holding a useless umbrella. The button on the handle does auto-open the umbrella; it doesn't fully auto-close, but that's not to be expected from a $22 umbrella, in a travel size. When you click the button to close, the umbrella folds in automatically, but you still have to push the shaft down. The nice thing is that you don't have to fiddle with the metal rods to try to get them all into the hollow of the handle - something that has driven me mad with other umbrellas. As I've noted, this is slightly larger than most "travel" umbrellas, and will cover a single person quite nicely. Two smaller people who aren't shy with each other could also use it (dating tip - bring this along if you're taking someone out on a date, and hope it rains :-D )Lastly, the velvet material pouch it came with was a surprise, but does seem to make it easier to slide the umbrella in and out of. So much so that when I initially pulled it out of the box (see pic), I didn't even know there was a pouch - it stayed in the box and the umbrella slid right out!

Not windproof
Unfortunately, it collapsed immediately facing these strong storms in SF the other day. I opened it up and it was OK for a while and then a strong wind came. I wasn't even facing the direction in which the wind was blowing. This umbrella would be good for rain but IS NOT WINDPROOF

Nice, sturdy umbrella.
The media could not be loaded. This umbrella is small enough to fit in your bag when it is folded up. It ships in a black velour carrying case. It is a personal sized umbrella and not large enough to shelter two people. It has a push button to open and close the umbrella. The action is smooth and works as intended. It has a vent panel on the top to help eliminate the umbrella turning inside out during heavy winds. I've not used it in the rain yet, but it appears sturdy. I like the bright red color too. Nice umbrella.

Nice and sturdy, very reflective!
I live in Florida, and when it storms here, the wind can be fierce. I’d all but given up trying to use any umbrella after yet another one had been bent inside out during a rainstorm. When I saw this one, I knew I had to try it. Wow, this umbrella is top notch! The first thing I noticed is how well made it is - it is definitely not a "cheap" umbrella. It looks and feels very well made. The best part is, the top is vented to allow air to rush through (and out) instead of bending and breaking the umbrella. The reflective strip is brighter and more reflective than I anticipated - very pleased. (I received the black umbrella with the reflective strip.) Highly recommend this umbrella!

durable umbrella
I am so impressed with the way they package this umbrella and the design is awesome. I love the color blue and it comes with a very nice case which is black. Easy to open with just one press of a button and close it with just one press of the button as well. It is a little bit heavy but i would say it was design like that to stand wind and rain and the structure has like a slit for the air to go in and out that way it can work with the weather. This quality of the umbrella is something that will last you (just don’t lose it) because it is durable and price is reasonable. Worth it. Nice to give as a gift as well. Great job manufacturer.
