Aumed DIY Mini Music Tesla Coil Kit 15W

I am so happy with this purchase! First of all, the packaging is on point, thus I did not have to add anything else as this was a gift for my boyfriend who is a huge Nicola Tesla fan. We already tried it out and it works perfectly! You can have so much fun with it and it can be a perfect gift for yourself or anyone else who will find joy in a science-based fun DIY project. What is more, it is not overly complicated, instructions are clear and the seller was very quick at responding to any questions I had regarding the item. Other similar items out there lack in English instructions and are missing key parts, as I tried ordering from other places and was disappointed. Overall, very original and worth every penny! Thank you!

The idea itself is great the construction is easy enough if you know what your doing. However the instructions are not in English so this is rediculousely hard for any mother at home who would wish to do this as a project for there child. Also the teslar coil needs a stronger glue to attach it. Hense the two star rating.

Sadly no instructions came with this item, meaning I had to use the picture on the front of the box to try and build it, and even then it still didn’t work fully as one of the components burnt out.

Take you time putting it together properly it works. Not much sparks. But put a neon bulb close to it. Within 3 inches it will glow very bright. If you modify the thick coil then it gives a better effect. Make a circle with the wire sticking out the top then you get a constant circle of sparks. Plus ozone. So take care..

Chinese item with low quality and low value of money, very low prices available at Amazon, returned to refund.

I am en electrical engineer, so keep that in mind in my review. The schematics/instructions had a few minor mistakes and were sometimes a bit difficult to read due to being a xerox of a xerox. But proceeded slowly and carefully and the device worked the first time I powered it on. Note that the silk screen on the circuit board did appear to be correct with respect to the components (strange that the manufacturer does not fix/update the schematic/instructions since that would be so easy). Also be aware that they do not give you a power supply to drive it nor even a wire adapter to plug into it its power connector. I just soldered two wires directly to the power connector terminals and connected it to a 15V bench supply. Could also power it with two 9V batteries in series. Once powered it turned on and ran smoothly from the start. Could light up a 4 foot florescent bulb from this little device. With an external fan on the device the heat sinks did not get very hot even with running it continuously. All in all it is a pretty neat device for the cost.

Was great for all of about 5 times. It BC worked great with my 3-24vdc power supply. Then when I showed it to my brother it fried. Checked my connections and it was good.
