The Boltzen 55w Video Light includes an adjustable Fresnel lens to help focus the light and provide a longer throw. When used without the lens, the light becomes a wider flood and the included barn doors help to control the spill. This versatility allows you to go from a tight spot to a wide flood all in one continuous light. The Boltzen 55 Watt video light shares the exact same housing as our Boltzen 30w Fresnel with the exception of a built in cooling fan to dissipate the extra heat. Our fan is barely audible at a distance of 1 meter. The CAME-TV Boltzen 55w Fresnel Video Light light can be powered from AC (with included power adapter), NP Series battery or V-Mount battery via the included V-Mount adapter cable providing convenient use on set and on location.

Portable high CRI/TLCI spots
The lights are nice and bright, the fan isn't noisy. The color is good, no cast I noticed. Dims fairly well. The lens isn't a real fresnel and is plastic, but it works and isn't so fragile. Worst thing is the case they include, requires disassembly of the yoke which is a pain. NPF batteries I'd forget in favor of V-mount via D tap. So get V mounts and a better case option (unless they've mercifully upgraded the case since I bought these). Also a little diffusion clipped to the doors will smooth out any COB stippling if you're picky.

It's lit
Great quality lights at such a great deal! Perfect for any indoor project, but with any outdoor project be prepared to invest in multiple lights.

Literally falling apart and battery has minimal life, flickers at every event
The lights are literally FALLING apart - the knobs no longer have the plastic to twist - they crumbled and I just bought these in June and have used them no more than 10 times. If that! The battery life is nonexistent and they also so little that by the time speeches happen in wedding for example they are flickering and oh my gosh it's awful ... I have the cables to hook them into the outlet but unfortunately not all venues and event locations have outlets. So 20-30 min is pushing it with battery life. These were expensive and NOT worth it. I'm going to have to bite the bullet and say bye to 600+ bucks because I need to buy higher quality and functional lighting equipment that I can rely on.

These lights are absolutely GREAT. I have the batteries suggested and they are crap.. they died really fast but when i plug these lights ing they are perfect. I used when shooting a recent prom! Excellent!!!! I would highly recommend!
