Very happy with this.
this is a great punch is made by Office Depot and it does the job. It is an All metal punch so it should last (parts that are not metal is a coating of plastic on metal handle, the plastic base like all hole punches (this opens easy and is easy to clean out) and the lock to lock the handle down this is plastic but is strong and i don't see it braking unless someone forces it!, It also come with a paper guide ( Position guide) for the paper which does a mix of paper sizes (A3, A4, B4, B5, B7, B6)Ill end on the price, this punch in other office shops sells for around 25 GBP. So this (at the time of review) is a good price!Im also going to try upload a photo of it as i found the photo on amazon not to be as good is i would have liked. (In the photo ive noted the size etc of the punch)

Great if you do a lot of 'punching'.
This product has helped save a lot of time. It is robust and does the job perfectly. Much better and a huge time saver compared with using the standard hand-held hole puncher that allows you to punch only a few sheets at a time.It has a lock mechanism, allowing you to push the handle down and lock it in place for easy storage.

Cheap, but heavy weight
Not expensive, but probably not the punch I need.It is very heavy, and there are problems with it:Although the guide arm is metal (my main reason for buying it) the guide arm retaining part is too low. It barely allows you to align anything more than a handful of pages.Secondly, for me, the holes are slightly too close to the edge of the paper, only 6mm.Thirdly, where the area the paper is pushed up to, inside the jaws of the punch, it has two small metal tabs, presumably as part of the construction, These two tabs are about 4mm wide and do not reach the top of the space against which the paper is held. This leads to two problems: firstly, as there isn't a clean wall of metal to push against, there is a tendency for the paper to wobble within the space meaning the holes are often at different depths from the edge of the paper; and secondly, if punching a really big pile of paper, the lower sheets are punched closer to the edge of the paper than the higher ones.Fourthly, the notch to indicate the mid point between the individual punches is on the handle that you depress to make the holes. This makes it 50mm from the bottom of the paper stack, and then it moves away from the paper stack as you punch the holes. Why not put the notch on the metal that does not move directly above the paper? Not a success

Does its job
I bought this to replace my ageing Velos Perforex 340 which sticks mid punch when punching large volumes of paper and wont release the paper. In all honesty I have gone back to using my Velos for everyday use as this new one just doesn't feel as good when using. Its harder to get the holes straight against the edge of the paper as you cant see through the top of the punch (you can on others and this makes a lot of difference). Also the paper size guild is flimsy and bends. When it arrived there were loads of scratches on the grey metal coating that go right through to bare metal.Would I buy another? No, I don't think I would.

Superb hole punch, can do so many multiple sheets at once. Well made and great for heavy duty work.

I ordered the grey one with the blue handle to ...
I ordered the grey one with the blue handle to match the stapler I bought and an all-black plain model was sent to me. The paper does wobble a bit too. Then again it is a solid machine for the price.
