I wasnt sure what to expexct and was a bit cautious about using something to power the camera.I use this to supply a constant power to the camera while shooting stop motion.It has no effect on the usb ports or other functions of the camera and works as a constant power supply.The wires are of good quality however the one from the camer to the power supply could be longer.Over all its a good product and I would recomend it.

We already had a couple of these from the same brand for the 5D MKIV and were hoping they would run the same with no errors/warning messages. All works well. We use this to power a camera for up to around hours a day - very reliable with the same power adaptor as the canon 5d version - just a different battery adaptor. Highly recommended.

Powers the camera fine, some of the plug connectors to the box are a bit wobbly but they stay in as long as you don't move it about.

I purchased the adaptor to maintain power to my Canon 800D camera mounted on my telescope where the Canon battery was only lasting about 1 hour between charges. The battery was supporting WiFi, long exposures and transferring very large RAW files to camera memory and laptop. I fitted the adaptor and it works. I found the connectors to be quite solid and reliable so far!

I use this is my canon 200d, I have to say it’s perfect for recording (which is what I do). Not having to keep changing the batteries make life a lot easier and doesn’t interfere with the recording. Straight out the box it worked and doesn’t guidance in case it doesn’t.

As others have said, the connection on this is very poor, which meant the camera would switch of if someone knocked the cable. The electrics overall are questionable, as when using it to power the camera when recording video, it introduces a massive electrical hum to the audio, rendering the video unuseable. Sent back for refund. One to avoid.

Unfortunately, I always get a hum when recording with my Rode mic attached to my Canon EOS 200D when powered by this item. Very disappointing indeed.Video is perfect. So if you only want the video this will do very nicely. Audio is not good in my experience.

I have a Canon Rebel t6i and it works with it with no problems. Just put it in the battery compartment as you would a normal battery and then plug the other end in. Don't waste your money on a more expensive one.
