Autopsy of an Eldritch City: Ten Tales of Strange and Unproductive Thinking

I read James' first collection of short stories, 'Grimoire' and thoroughly enjoyed it so when I saw the announcement on Dennis Cooper's blog that a second collection was in the works I was very excited. This collection did not let me down. You know what? Simply the fact an announcement for this book appeared on DC's blog will tell you everything you need to know. It takes everything that was wonderful about Grimoire (Kenneth Grant, Colin Wilson. Lovecraft, etc. etc.) and hones it with an embracing mythography and a sure and steady hand. Champagne remains one of those writers writes for himself and that's to our benefit.
