Q: Looking to have my little one help meal plan—do these have enough options for that and do they stick to a refrigerator?

It would stick if your refrigerator is magnetic- almost all new ones are not. (They would not 'cling') I think all of the food is pictures where the little girl is holding up the mat. I'm guessing there are 5 options of entrees, vegetables, starch and fruit- so if you mixed it up there would be several combination options for simple dinners. I like that idea!

No, there is no rice. The grains include spaghetti noodles, 2 slices of bread, 1 dinner roll, and a bagel.

Yes, it will. All of the pieces are magnetic :) It is a good investment: well worth the money! I use it with my students to teach the names of foods and practice making a balanced meal.
