Efie has been certified by the auditors of GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard). The company received the seal of quality for its sustainable production with regards to health environmental and socially compatible aspects. On-site analysis of the whole production and sales process from primary production over working conditions manufacturing and packaging up to trade conditions built the basis for the successful receipt of the certificate of compliance. "We are proud to be one of the few German manufacturers in the toy industry using this quality seal". There are some items hot-water bottles for example which are - for various reasons - not compliant with the GOTS standard. As a result, there are some articles which could not be branded "GOTS" even though all textile ingredients are fully GOTS compliant! According to the GOTS standard products like hot-water bottles are generally not included in the formalities of GOTS and are therefore not eligible for certification no matter of their quality.
