I would give 5 stars having shopped around definitely value for money to say the least but reduced by one star because the metal adapter there are two adapters for different brand of brakes. The adapter screws into your brake lever then you place the cup onto the adapter rather then screwing into it, the cup bottom has two o rings rather then ring and thread it doesn't feel as snug as I would have thought but still does the job there's no leakage but I can't help but think it's not as air tight as it could be for peace of mind. Having said that worked a treat for my Shimano brakes. P.S it comes with two bottles of 150ml mineral oil not 300ml I only used half of a bottle on brand new Shimano brakes.

Sono un ciclista amatoriale che utilizza la bici sia per il commuting urbano che per escursioni in MTB nei fine settimana. Dopo circa un anno di utilizzo, i freni a disco idraulici Shimano della mia mountain bike hanno cominciato a perdere reattività, con una leva del freno sempre più spugnosa e una frenata poco sicura. Sapevo che era arrivato il momento di effettuare lo spurgo dei freni, ma non volevo spendere troppo portando la bici in officina. Dopo aver letto diverse recensioni e confrontato vari kit, ho deciso di acquistare il CHUMXINY Kit Spurgo Freni per SHIMANO. Cosa include il kit Il kit arriva in una confezione ben organizzata. All’interno ho trovato: 300 ml di olio minerale specifico per freni Shimano, un imbuto trasparente con tappo, varie siringhe e tubi flessibili, adattatori per le diverse tipologie di impianti Shimano, guanti, fascette e un piccolo manuale (anche se in inglese). Tutto il materiale mi è sembrato subito ben costruito, anche se ovviamente si tratta di un kit economico e alcuni componenti (come i tubi e le siringhe) non sono al livello professionale. Ma per un uso domestico e occasionale, è più che sufficiente. Facilità d’uso Non avevo mai fatto uno spurgo dei freni prima d’ora, quindi avevo un po’ di timore. Per fortuna ci sono diversi video online che mostrano il procedimento passo-passo, e con un po’ di pazienza sono riuscito a fare tutto senza errori. Il manuale incluso è utile per capire a cosa serve ogni componente, ma i video sono sicuramente più chiari per quanto riguarda la procedura. Il montaggio dell’imbuto sulla leva del freno è semplice e gli adattatori si sono rivelati compatibili con il mio impianto Shimano Deore. Le siringhe funzionano abbastanza bene, anche se il pistone tende a scorrere non perfettamente fluido – ma nulla di drammatico. Una cosa che ho apprezzato molto è la trasparenza dell’imbuto, che mi ha permesso di vedere facilmente se c’erano bolle d’aria nel liquido. Il flacone da 300 ml è più che sufficiente per almeno due spurghi completi (io ho fatto freno anteriore e posteriore e mi è avanzato del liquido). Prestazioni dopo lo spurgo Dopo aver effettuato lo spurgo con il kit, la differenza si è sentita immediatamente. Le leve dei freni sono tornate reattive e precise, la frenata è molto più potente e modulabile, e soprattutto ho di nuovo la sensazione di pieno controllo anche in discesa. Non ho notato perdite o problemi di tenuta nei tubi o negli adattatori, e il liquido sembra essere della stessa qualità di quello Shimano originale. Ovviamente non posso garantire la durata nel lungo termine, ma dopo alcune settimane di utilizzo la bici frena ancora perfettamente. Considerazioni finali Nel complesso, il CHUMXINY Kit Spurgo Freni è stato un ottimo acquisto. Non è uno strumento professionale, ma per chi – come me – vuole risparmiare e imparare a fare da sé la manutenzione base, è assolutamente valido. Con un po’ di attenzione e qualche video tutorial, lo consiglio senza riserve a tutti i ciclisti con freni Shimano che vogliono mantenere il proprio impianto in efficienza senza spendere una fortuna in officina.
