The best one out of all of them *Damon's still my favorite bbf*. This book had everything I look for in a great book, a few passages were confusing cuz of the jump to something different out of nowhere, but it still had it all; action, thrills, twists, turns, heartbreak, moments that you laughed out loud *usual Damon being Damon 🤣* and so much more. I freaking love this series! I don't know why I waited so long to read it.

I give this book a 4.5It’s good just like all the rest of the Devil’s Night books however it is my least favoriteWill Grayson- I loved him in all 4 books, he is sweet and kind. Always cracking jokes and just a all around love-able character. He fell first and hardest between him and Emory and I kind of expected that from his book. His struggle with his sense of self worth was tear jerking and I did cry at the scene where they boarded the train. He was so heartbroken most of the book but I loved that he proved himself in a way that no one saw coming. Love Will.Emory Scott- there’s a lot to say about this woman, she is a survivor, a sacrificer, and the definition of a strong independent woman. Between the horrible abuse she suffered at the hands of someone who is supposed to love her, and caring for a sick family member Thunder Bay prep Emory had a lot of her plate and dispite everything she stood tall. Will and Emory- I don’t have many positive things to say about this relationship, Will gave too much while she gave too little. Emory used her words to slash Will multiple times and I did not like it, I kind of think of their relationship as what Damon said in the beginning when talking about abuse “Starving people will eat anything” Will was starving for her attention and ate anything she gave him. I wish Will had backed off and let her come to him instead of always reaching out first. Emory was the type of girl to constantly push a guy away then get mad when he walks away. It took 75% of the book for her to be ok with him at about 80% to say sorry, it wasn’t ok in my opinion. But overall I liked the book. I liked the epilogue. I liked the characters and I definitely give it at 4.5 ⭐️

Delicious, Heart Thumping Dark Romance
***This book is part of a series. While it can be read as a stand-alone, it is better to read the entire series in order.***I absolutely devoured this book in less than 2 days. The author wrote this in dual perspective, but also from different points in a timeline; either when the two were in high school or some other point in time over a nine year period. This made the book beautifully written, gave the reader a better understanding of their relationship, but also provided some relief from some very heartbreaking moments.Emory is the MFC. She is a poor kid in a prestigious high school in Thunder Bay, a small New England town. She is an orphan who is being raised by her brother, who is 8 years older than her and caring for their ailing grandmother. Will is her suitor, the MMC, who is from one of the super wealthy families in town, attending the same high school.Emory has serious trust issues with everyone due to a home issue, which leaves her unable to reach out to others for help and feeling increasingly isolated. Wil is part of a friend group called the Horsemen and is somewhat obsessed with Emory, and he wants her to be his. Often, she asks why, and he always says, "we want what we want."Nine years after HS is the present time frame. Emory is working in San Francisco as an architect. She is abducted and finds herself Blackchurch, a place where wealthy families park their sons when they have gone so far that they need to be imprisoned quietly to save the family from public embarrassment. Emory wakes up in a seriously dangerous environment, dealing with men who have been kept from women for up to years and trying to find a way out. To her shock, Wil is there as well, and he has plenty of reasons to want revenge. This book is spicy (🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶) with WM, MM, and WW encounters. The books is mid-level dark, so not as dark as Lauren Biel books, but this is not Colleen Hoover either. It includes forced proximity, second chance, and enemies to lovers Tropes. She has a trigger warning list, and it is recommended you pay attention to it.The book is absolutely deliciously wonderful to read. It is probably one of the best books I've read this year. I highly recommend it.
