Wonderful resource and inspiration
As autism numbers continue to rise, this book offers a beacon of hope. Through the stories of these amazing women who were determined to heal their children, the reader learns about the many therapies that are successfully being used to treat autism. Yes, everyone's journey is different, some have children who are indistinguishable from their peers while others have seen slight but still important gains. The reader learns about the many therapies that have been making a difference in the lives of children with autism, but most of all they are offered a ray of hope and an outstretched hand from another parent who has fought the same battles.

So they're not "born with it" after all...
Very moving accounts of special needs children who were ignored by doctors, but not by their mothers, who moved Heaven and Earth to find both causes and cures. Eye-opening in its proof that children with autism are not "born with it," but, because of genetic susceptibilities, are forced into autism by environmental factors. The only thing I didn't like about this book is the use of cutesy aliases for the mothers. I can understand that they would not want to use their real names, especially as they reveal that they basically bucked both the medical system and the pharmaceutical industry to tell their children's stories. But they should have chosen plain old normal, real-name aliases, like Jane Smith or whatever. The cutesy aliases just don't work; they interrupt the readability of the book.I really hope they correct this in the second edition.

It is truly an inspiration to hear testimonies from such smart and ferocious women
I actually bought this book when it first came out, many copies in fact. It is truly an inspiration to hear testimonies from such smart and ferocious women. Throughout the ages, women have had to trust their instincts to survive and progress. This books is a reflection of that in an age when we are told to abandon those instincts and hand over the health and well being of our children to outsiders. We have to take back our power to heal, we have it. Thank you Thinking Moms for all you do, you are an inspiration.

in a world that tells you to go home and love them because there is no cure or treatment for ...
This book exudes HOPE in a world that wants to tell you they don't know why your child can't speak or why they are so sick, in a world that tells you your child may never go to school or live alone, in a world that tells you to go home and love them because there is no cure or treatment for what they call all sorts of things like- Autism, PANDAS, Sensory Porcessing disorder, allergies, ADHD, Mitochondrial Disease/Dysfunction, etc.Thank you Thinking Moms Revolution for publishing stories of hope and healing... in a world that does not like to use these words, I am thankful that you DO!

Inspiring Stories give Hope
I loved this book! So many stories of triumph from people of all walks of life! Knowing we are not alone in this journey is priceless and I am so grateful for the parents out there who have paved the way for the rest of us so we can use their knowledge and expertise! Even if autism hasn't touched your life, you will be inspired by the women and their stories in this book!

Not worth the paper it's written on. Don't waste your money.
This is actually the first time I've reviewed a product on here because I felt it was necessary to advise people not to fall into the trap of buying this book. Unfortunately I've found that it's not actually possible to give a book zero stars. I'm not surprized it's only been on sale a few days and people are already selling their used copies. Personally, I'd rather use it as firewood than inflict this book on other poor unsuspecting potential readers."Thinking mom's revolution?" Not so much a revolution (and also not much logical thinking going on) but more a bunch of anecdotal rubbish written by people who think that a degree from the University of Google equates to a medical degree and that reading a bunch of biased blogs and websites (instead of actually reputable peer-reviewed scientific journals) constitutes research. Don't waste your money.
