The Rule of the Templars: The French Text of the Rule of the Order of the Knights Templar (Studies in the History of Medieval Religion, 7)

This book was exactly what I was looking for--a virtual handbook of Rules, but it also provides limited notes on historical context as well. it is not, however, annotated with comments explaining why a Rule is in place. That might have been handy information integrated into the text, but as is, this is exactly what I needed for my research.

If you're looking for an easy spoon-fed read about the Templars, this is not for you. The material presented is fairly dry source material. If you're looking to examine some of the few documents we have about the Templars to come to a better understanding of the Order, this is it.

If you are a Templar historian this is a must have.

This is the Bible for anybody who is studying history of Middle-ages and especially knight's Templar! Every while it is good to read it, weather You are Templar or not!

Concise, interesting and easy read. It is great for someone who is just beginning to learn their secrets and someone who wants to learn the basics.

Good pricing and efficient delivery. Can be a difficult read but the detail is fantastic - outlining everything that was relevant to a Templar.

A very good read for anyone intrested in this fascinating order.
