They protect my hands quite well. I would have given then 5 stars except that after about 7 hours of use they still have dye coming off and staining my hands. It doesn't hurt anything, but it is a bit annoying.

Nice gloves

These gloves look like a cross between NFL receiver gloves and something from a mad max movie. Do not let looks deceive you as this is an effective set of work gloves. They guard against hammer blows by covering the index finger knuckle, finger and thumb with a kind of rubber tire guard which makes the glove bulky. The goat skin is on the palm of the bottoms of the fingers, the back of the glove is stretch nylon keeping the gloves tight and the guards in position. This creates a good but not a great work glove.The gloves run a bit small so you may be interested in ordering a larger slzed glove. If you normally hammer your finger and hand, then these gloves could provide some protection. But if you are an accomplished builder these gloves will be redundant.

Good as far as they go. Why can't anybody make gloves with reinforcements to prevent a hammer from crushing thumbs? Adding a steel ring around the thumb tips.

These are very good, high quality work gloves. They fit very well and hug my hands. The stitching is well done and reinforced at the seams. There is extra grip in the areas of high use. Overall, these are excellent and are going to last a long time!

If you're afraid of hitting your hand, not sure getting gloves with hammer protection is the solution, but there it is. These gloves are good in other ways, lots of protection, and they are nice and form fitting. The protection on the bottom/top is quite nice (as is the fabric). Will probably rip off the hammer guard.

I'm very pleased with these gloves in multiple ways. I've been using them for various projects around the house, including repairing some porch railings and pruning my roses bushes, two tasks that test different qualities of the gloves. The rubber pad on the side of the hand between the thumb and forefinger is amazing protection when hammering nails and actually comes in handy for other purposes, giving a little more padding and grip when you need to crank on things, or carry heavy stuff, or whatever the job requires. Second, just as importantly, the main leather on the palm and fingers of the glove are somewhat thicker than average. I'm happy to report that I was able to prune my rose bushes for hours and never had any problems with thorns poking through and getting my hands. This is rare, and a sure indication that it's very thicker, very tough leather. Best of all, the price is right.The size large worked for my hands, which I consider to be of medium size. I'm about six feet and have longish fingers and thumb, but my hands are not big and thick like some guys I know. I would say these fit *slightly* smaller than most large size gloves, but still in the same ballpark as you can expect. Use the measurements and size guide for help.Overall, I think these are great. I will definitely put this on my wishlist and consider buying again next time. Five stars!

A quality pair of work gloves. I like how they fit my hands and feel. The plastic rubber on the back are a little big and gaudy. But it does look cool. I like the quality of the leather that is on the palm and fingers. The velco to fasten the gloves around you wrist is a nice touch too. Over all If you are looking for a nice pair of work around the garden or home gloves. These are good enough and quality enough to meet my needs. Maybe yours too.
