The media could not be loaded.  The only Lil issues I have a tank with rim and it's for rimless tanks. Anyway with a Lil adjustments and it's working perfectly.

This is a really cool design which is why I bought it. It let's you try out different filter materials and everone gets to see how it works. With that said, it does take some work to make it function like an out of the box filter you'd buy at a pet store, which I think is part of the fun. I added extra sponges and white filter material and the water is clear in my 29 gallon. I plan on upgrading the pump to something more powerful so not concerned about that.4 stars because of the low power pump, and the outside walls could be a bit higher for overflow situations. Also, the container itself has a plug on the bottom of the first chamber to hook up the pump hose I'm guessing, so I'm hesitant to try to hang it on the outside of the aquarium as is.

I must say that I like the pump but for the fact that it only worked for 3 weeks.

The media could not be loaded.  This filter is fully customizable and Silent even with the water dripping. It even comes with media which if carefully placed will give you an option to use the extra holder for more media. It would be nice if it came with an elbow for the motor so the hose could come straight up but that's not a big deal, as you can order one separately. The filter can be hung inside the tank also if you choose. If you mount it on the outside it must be on the highest setting otherwise the water Outlet hits the edge of the tank. This is made for a rimless tank. It does not appear that it will fit on a tank with a plastic rim. It has plenty of room to add a bag of Purigen or activated carbon if you like. It has adjustable water flow also and the adjustment is very good. This is the large model and I will be ordering the extra large model to try on another tank. As with any filter that has the pump in the tank, never put the pump on the bottom otherwise if it leaks it will drain your tank and kill all your fish. Always leave about 1/4 of the water capacity in the tank. The pump location is temporary as I just hooked it up to test it. It will be located to the right side for crossflow.

The media could not be loaded.  Super cool and easy to put together. It is like a tiny sump for your tank. I am impressed. There isn’t a super strong current but it keeps the water moving.

This item has clamps for the side of the aquarium that does not fit modern aquariums with a plastic frame around the top. Also, the pump is very small, could probably handle 15 gallons of you got the clamps to fit.

The media could not be loaded.  Since there’s no reveiws on this I felt I should post one. Such a cool design! I had thought of something like this for a tank a while back but could never find something that was designed just like this. The pump goes in the tank so that’s really nice. The water flows through each chamber and there’s tons of room for media. You can take the water wheel out if you want to but I like it. I have a little UV light in mine right now. I got the large size and it fits my 23.6Lx8inch height tank really well I honestly thought it would be larger. It’s super easy to switch media in and out and I like the flow control. I threw it on this tank just to see how it does and so far so good. I plan on putting it on a long 12 gallon aquascape. Really cool design and roomy.

This is a cool idea but has some design flaws that make it difficult to work with.1) The suction cups on the pump will come out constantly. Remove them before you install.2) The arms that hold onto your tank are precariously balanced at best where they join the container. Tiny little arms that are very likely to slip out when disturbed.Great otherwise, if a little expensive.
