It Sucks ...The Water Right Up!
So I've only used this twice so far so I can speak to longevity, but the noise is far less than previous sumps I've owned and it worked in both clean rain water and a flooded mud puddle. Our yard floods in heavy rains so I use it to divert water to the gardens. So far I'm very happy with it.

Junk
I bought this pump to expel water from my basement. During heavy rains I get an inch or sometimes more of water at the low spot of my basement. I plugged this in when I got it, to determine it was functioning. However, when it came time to use it a few weeks later, the seals within the pump were broken. It leaked water from the sides and top of the housing, while spitting out some kind of machine oil. The air getting in through the leak points, wouldn’t allow the pump to prime, so I ended up with water in my basement, and no working pump.I requested a refund, and a UPS pickup, which customers pay for. After 2 weeks and several phone calls to Amazon customer service, I ended up never getting the pump picked up, and had to fight to get my refund. I spent almost 2 hours on the phone in total, talking to incompetent customer service reps, including a floor “supervisor”.What a waste of my time. I finally got my refund, but as far as I’m concerned, Amazon owes me a good $50 for my time. This company is going downhill and fast.I hope an alternative comes about soon. Amazon has lost a lot of my business lately, and I use their services for my business as well.Terrible operation over there at Amazon anymore. Just awful.

Plug and go
Easy to use. If it slows down, unplug, let I’d drain for 30 seconds and it pumps great again. Really reliable for any size pool

Works as expected
It works as promised. A couple of improvements would be: an on/off switch, some water proof protection for the plug. I used this in a heavy rain and had to wrap the plug in plastic wrap where it joined the extension cord.Nice compact package that's easy to store when not needed.

Pump With Power!
Had a DC powered pump for use with my rain barrels. Big gardener here, and rain water is best for vegetables and flowers! My DC pump was portable but lacked power to spray long distance. Plus having batteries run low causing me to walk the battery to the barn and swap for a charged one. This new AC pump brings so much to the table! I think it's twice the power. One caution: since this is submersible, make sure your opening (like top of rain barrel) is big enough to fit it through!

Solid quality/good value
Solid quality sump pump that performs as advertised! Too soon to tell on longevity, but very satisfied after using a half dozen times.

Not safe
Unfortunately, I am 30 days outside of the return window. The pump worked great for 36 hours. Then just stopped working. When I pulled it out of the water I grabbed the metal hose end and the pump shocked me. Luckily I was not in the water at the time. Obviously, it is not insulated correctly.Yes, the pump is junk. From a safety standpoint stay away from it.

Seal broked in my 3rd use.
In my first and second use, it worked great. I was able to empty the hottub (290 gallons) less than 30 mintues. However, the seal broke in my third use. It was just stored in the garage. Since is was leaking back in the hot tub, it took four times as long to pump the water out of the hot tub. Obviously not able to be returned. I don't know what the warranty is for this product.
