This album is amazing, filled with such emotion and passion
This album is amazing, filled with such emotion and passion. Heard one song on it and bought it based on the merit of the track, which was "come back". Highly recommend this album to anyone who listened to his former bands.

I ordered it as a gift for my sister so I didn't listen to it but my sister loved the album.

Great stuff from beginning to end
Jason Lancaster is the former front man for Go Radio and Mayday Parade. Those of you who are familiar with his previous bands will find that his solo outing sounds very much like his former sound. I'd say it is a bit closer to the most recent Go Radio album overall, which is great for me because I loved "Close the Distance". I have really liked everything Jason has done with his previous bands and this is no different. I'm always happy when I can listen to the whole album without wanting to skip any tracks. After a few times listening through here are some of the highlights and thoughts I had -Growing Up - probably my favorite song on the album. Good beat, fun lyrics, kinda makes me want to dance or just jam in my car.Save Me - I was a little surprised to find something that I would expect more on a Christian rock album (at least lyrically). The sound of the song is actually very close to country pop. By no means a bad song, just a little different. In addition to Growing Up I would say You'n Me, Shine, and The Cause were my top 4 songs out of the bunch. The album ends with a cover of the Beatles "Hey Jude". It stays very true to the original and the song is a great fit for Jason's vocals.I would say if you were a fan of Mayday Parade or Go Radio (especially their last album) you can't go wrong with "As You Are". If you have no clue who those bands are but like upbeat, melodic, alternative pop rock, with a little folksy flavor then you've come to the right place.

Jason Lancaster has great songs off of this album
Jason Lancaster has great songs off of this album. Jason's voice is just as amazing as it was when he was in Go Radio and Mayday Parade. "Just In Time" is probably one of my favorites off of the album!
