I rated this product five stars as I pulled a muscle on the back of my right shoulder yesterday which was incredibly painful.After hearing such great reviews from other Amazon shoppers I decided to purchase one for myself and wow, first time upon using it this morning it is an absolute god send. The pain has now eased a bit more so now I can turn my head a bit better . It is incredibly easy to use and it’s also great that you can use it on many different parts of the body as well as the back. Thanks a million.

I am a retired physiotherapist. And was somewhat sceptical of the efficacy of this product. How wrong I was!Everything about it is perfect. The size and positioning of the ‘thumbs’ and the ability to apply adequate leverage couldn’t be better.I’ve had it for less than an hour, and I have tried every position possible. The security of hold and ability to maintain the pressure is better than I could have hoped.There are clearly inferior products available. Don’t bother; buy this one.By the way, when I read reviews that are so effusive in their praise I immediately assume the author works for the company or is associated in some way. I promise you, I am neither. I’m just delighted that I have something that may be an adequate substitute for my own therapist and may allow me to visit less often (Even physios need a second pair of hands!).

I purchased this to try and help ease fibromyalgia pains in back, shoulders and neck. I was apprehensive about using this as my tender trigger points make me yelp with just light touch, let alone pressing on them but I kept an open mind as I was desperate for pain relief.The device is lightweight to use and comes with a basic instruction booklet that shows you how to use it on different parts of body. You also get an ebooklet in your inbox on amazon that goes through the device with you.The first time I used it, I used it on two points in between shoulder blades. My first reaction was ouch when I gently pressed the ball part on the tip into the trigger points. I gently held it on the area for a little while but then started to gently move the stick over the sore areas of my body. The reason I have given this 4 star is because I actually bruised the area I used it on. Either I didn’t read instructions correctly or it didn’t indicate how hard/soft to use it. I didn’t use huge pressure, it was just the weight of my hands holding the stick which bruised me. I hadn’t been able to use it for about a week till bruising subsided but I must admit, apart from the bruising, the pains from trigger points seemed to ease significantly. So I will use it a bit more gently and for set times to make sure I don’t experience further bruising.I am happy with my purchase as it relieved my fibromyalgia pain. Please note that while this may help ease my fibromyalgia pain, it may not work for everyone. It’s a case of trial and error but I don’t regret buying this. You can use it on other areas as shown in the booklet provided (see photos). I use it while I’m sitting at the kitchen table revising as it helps certain parts of my neck and back.A friend spotted this device when he visited my home and used it on his hips and shoulder area as he has a torn rotator cuff. He felt relief immediately while using it and said he felt much better after using it and that he didn’t feel as tensed up. He is planning on buying one himself now as hes currently paying to see someone who specialises in sports tissue massages and was paying a lot more rhan what the actual stick costs.The other reason I only gave this 4stars is because some of the ball parts have a slightly sharp edge which can be a bit irritating on the skin.The device is about the size of my torso, is navy blue in colour and made of a lightweight but strong plastic. The hook part of the device may be a little difficult to use if you are a lot bigger than average size in build/weight.Overall I am very happy with my purchase but have learnt from experience to be very gentle when using it and not use it for long periods of time.

After learning about the existence of this tool I looked for one to help me with a frozen shoulder. I found cheaper ones but the reviews indicated they were low quality and thus not lasting, so I decided to invest in this one. I am very happy with it. It came in one piece ready to use, it's made of metal tube painted with a paint nice to touch, and it's very comfortable to use. It comes with a leaflet demonstrating how to use it. Together with the use of a couple of massage balls and some exercises, it has helped my shoulder's condition improve quickly and relieved the pain considerably. It's easy to use and it's perfect to help ease those unreachable knots in my back.

Hi, I'm a trained masseur and have done trigger point therapy for many years both on myself and with clients. I was hopeful when I ordered this, but alas, my expectations were not met. This item is too flexible and there are sharp moulding seems both in the areas you hold and the surfaces which come into come into contact with the area of the trigger point.

I regularly use a body Stress release therapist. Was advised to get this product to use inbetween sessions, as I have constant pain between shoulder blades. It reaches the area with ease & gives a constant pressure to release the knots in very awkward, hard to reach areas.

Bought based on reviews. Provides a small amount of relief but very expensive for what it is. Imagine a cheaper but similar item would do the same job

I got this and also the memory foam pillow with cooling gel from the same brand for chronic neck pain. This tool is great for reaching deep sore areas of the neck and upper back and also lets you put a lot of pressure on the trigger point with no direct strain on your fingers and hands unlike ordinary self-massage. Much less weird to use in front of your partner than awkwardly rubbing yourself against the wall with a massage ball every night.
