The manufacturer shows a complex and detailed chart of the ingredient aromas. I can't say that I detected any of the specific elements but the overall smell is pleasant and subtle. It is infinitely better than the spray offered by traditional barbers when I was teenager! The initial smell when applied is quite strong but diminishes relatively quickly. The cologne is quite mild. When applied after shaving, there is no "kick" or sharpness, equally there is nothing unpleasant, certainly no skin irritation. If considering as a stocking filler be aware that it is a plastic bottle with no external packaging. I hope you found this review useful.
