The attachment will work for either left- or right-handed artists. I will hold wet wipes and brushes nearby, and the ends of the brackets will hold my paper towels. When I close up at the end of my plain air day, it will be easy to clean and attach to my pochade box with the rubber bands that came with the box. Cannot wait for my next painting day!

I bought two to put on each side of my easle, so nice gave me so much extra space for my stuff. Every painter should have this for their easle!

I mirror what other commentators have said here. The basic engineering of this product could use a substantial upgrade. The clamps attaching this tray to the easel could be deeper, longer and heftier. As others have mentioned, the tray (which simply sits on the clamp extensions) could be easily upended by a breeze or simply brushing it by accident with your hand or body as you move by. I’ve Jerry-rigged around these problems by tying it down to the clamps cross wise but that puts the tie/bunji cord right across the middle interfering with the surface of the tray which should be flat and unencumbered. I’ll use this as it does provide an additional horizontal space but my annoyance at the essential attachment/stability problem could be fixed by a better thought out design

Attaches well and easily!

It attaches wonderfully. It’s sturdy and there is a foam block attached to the bottom of the tray so you set the arms wider than the block and the tray will not slide off either up or down.But……It’s hard to find a place for it and not have to carry it separately from the French easel.

Love this product! It fits perfectly and added much needed space for brushes, medium and a few handy tubes of paint!

There is nothing anchoring the metal to the braces. One small bump and the whole thing goes flying. You cannot fold your easel without removing it all piece by piece. It’s hard to bolt onto the easel.
