Hintergrund des Kaufs war die Möglichkeit, am Controller der PS4 ein 2. Headset anschließen zu können, mit den gleichen nutzbaren Funktionen wie Hören und sprechen. Somit kann diese sich ebenfalls im Sprachchat beteiligen wie z.B. bei Fortnite. Das funktioniert mit dem Splitter einwandfrei.
