Rockford Fosgate Prime R2D2-10 Single R2 10” 2-Ohm DVC Subwoofer - 250 Watts RMS / 500 Watts Peak

Rockford Fosgate never lets me down. I used to have two punch p2's that were over 10 years old. Removed both from my old vehicle and installed one in my truck, it still worked fine but shattered the plastic dust cover on the cone, installed the second one and same happened after a few months(the plastic was old and yellowed by the sun)Anyways, come to find out that the current p2's are too deep to install in my tiny truck box so i decided to give this little prime sub a shot since it would fit and was only 50 bucks. Man for an entry level sub I'm very impressed. Mind you that it doesn't hit nearly as hard, get to the low lows, and isn't as loud overall as my old p2's. But oh boy am I happy with this thing. I will continue to exclusively buy rockford and only rockford. I run punch 6.5s in my doors, punch 4x6s in the rear, and this sub is powered by the newest model of the prime 500x2 amp wired up in 2 ohms.If rockford made head units I'd buy that too.

Bought this to replace the sub in my rockford fosgate speaker box amp combo. This fit and wired right up as the original was a dual voice coil as well. Sounds very good.

This sounds great in a 2015 Silverado.

If you like hard hitting bass these subs are probably the best for a low budget.

I put this sub into an old band pass box and it provides deep, punchy, bass (doesn't ever get sloppy... goes deep but also stays punchy and tight). The dual 2-ohm voice coils allow me to run an old stereo amp at it's max output and get a nice amount of volume without having to buy a new amp. With it set up like this, I can get some good bottom end in my focus so I don't' have to turn up the bass on the radio and it fills out the sound really nicely.

If you've ever purchased RF, you know the brand is tried and tested as high quality. The real difference here was the company selling them. I can't speak higher of the team there that helped ensure that I was taken care of. Highly recommend!

This is my first sub woofer (for an automobile). I used it in my 89 Wrangler YJ. The bass is strong with the gain is low. In the picture, you can see it installed on the box. I drilled 3 holes for the 3 connectors to go into. The only issue I had was the power connector (off-on switch) was shorter than the other two connectors. Each of the 3 connectors come with a nut to tighten it down from the inside. I only used 1/2 inch plywood, and the power switch was not long enough to use the nut. But, there is 4 screw holes to hold the adapter. It works as advertised. The amperage for the usb connector is 2.4, higher would be nice. The blue color is nice, not too bright. The voltage output display is great to have. Overall, I like it and would buy it again.
