Jebao DCP Sine Wave Water Return Pump (DCP-20000)

I have used these pumps for a number of purposes and projects. They seem fairly well built, are very efficient, and move lots of water! This particular pump was installed at the bottom of a quarter-acre pond as an aerator with an air tube going down to its inlet. Will see how it lasts and update this review accordingly.One thing to be aware of: Many of these pumps are exactly the same hardware, only with differently programmed controllers for the different capacities. I haven't bought each size so I can't advise at exactly which capacities the hardware actually changes, but you are being price-gouged for the larger pumps. The pumps themselves will gladly run on a regular, sensorless 3-phase brushless motor controller up to around 48v—where they run much faster than any of the included controllers will run them. I wouldn't go past 48v as they start pulling an unhealthy amount of power.

I have had other Jebao pumps and have been happy with them. I have owned the DCP-20000 for 9 months which I purchased for a new aquarium. It took a while to get everything plumbed. After 3 months of actual use the control panel on the pump stopped responding. The pump was either full on or full off. After another week sometimes the pump will turn on when plugged in and some times it won't.There is NO WARRANTY that I can find and I can not find a replacement controller. I am shopping for a new pump from another manufacture. I am very disappointed as I was a big Jebao fan before this.

I bought this pump (DCP20000) to quickly replace an expensive failed pump. I installed it thinking it would fail in a short period of time and I would need to purchase another one. However, I have been running this pump 24/7 for 4 years wide open and it's still going strong. The only thing I've noticed is a darkening of the controller label from heat. It is warm but it's been that way for 4 years now without any issues. I would highly recommend it. I also purchased a smaller one that had issues out of the box. I think the smaller ones are made different from the large one and unless they have changed the design would not recommend the smaller ones.

The media could not be loaded. DEAD SILENT AND BEYOND POWERFUL. I have this running on my 300 gallon saltwater aquarium. This pump on 100 percent would have made my tank sound like Niagara Falls lol. If you need a return pump for a large system this thing is it.

Big fan of jebao return pumps for years .. power heads and transformers not so muchIn my quest for a better pond pump I have started using jebao 24v controllable pumps by far better than any pond pump iv used just rubber flap over top of transformer and controller no problems .. saving at least 20$ a month over a comparable 120v pond pumpjebao please make a pond version !!!

Solid pump with great performance. Best pump I have ever bought for my Koi pond. Pump delivers as advertised.

Purchased this pump in May 2021, pump was installed in June. 3 months later the pump controller stopped working, contacted the seller but they refused to honor the warranty. Contacted Amazon and they said I could return the pump for my refund but said nothing about their 40+ dollar restocking fee. So the warranty means NOTHING and I have no pump and lost money on the deal. These pumps have a known issue with the controller and NO warranty so it’s your money to gamble with. Not a good experience.

Pump is very quiet and trouble free after 2 months. Time will tell. I do think it is over rated on the GPM, I have to run it wide open and was hoping to be able to operate at 75% range but not enough water volume to accomplish its job at 75%.
