Excellent for the money 4 star as I only needed a basic MP3 player nothing fancy.
This is an excellent MP3 player for the money. I just wanted it to use in my car with the earphone jack as my car isn't Bluetooth. It is easy to transfer files to and sorts them logically. You can play by artist, genre, album, song and shuffle. Not attempted to make or transfer a playlist yet.The built in speaker is very tinny, as you would expect, but when plugged into the car speaker it is better than expected. The manual is very basic but you have enough information to get started. I knew there was an equaliser due to other reviews, took me a while to locate the button (bottom right of the image of the song)Main drawbacks - the small compact size means the touch screen is difficult to select the correct action. I don't have particularly 'fat fingers' and I keep hitting the wrong button so a stylus pen might be useful. I can imagine for someone not used to touch screen or difficulty with vision, or coordination will find this annoying. They are easy to catch accidently & instruct a function you didn't mean to.The model isn't compatible with iTunes itself (or any streaming service) which for me isn't too much of an issue as I download all my iTunes music as MP3 anyway so I could directly copy across from my hard drive to the device.Struggled to set up my Bluetooth headphones and gave up but it connected to my TV then crashed both my TV and the device - again this isn't a problem for me as I didn't buy it to use as Bluetooth device.

Didn't expect to like it this much 😁
Bought for use at work as not allowed phones. There's a radio that picks up 1 station (and it doesn't play what I call music). What you get:- headphones (using my Sony ones so I've no idea what their sound is like). Usb-c to usb lead (for charging + transferring files), 3.5mm to 3.5mm (very handy), instructions and silicon cover.Unit itself appears to be built with glass & maybe aluminium frame, nice quality feel to it.Plugged into windows pc + easily transferred music over.Initially thought sound was horrible & tinny but after a faff to find it, there's an equaliser 😊, found a setting I'm happy with.I'm using Sony WF-1000XM4 buds and the sound is much better from this player than I could ever have expected at this price point. If storage isn't enough you can also use a card up to 128gb.Volume loud enough - not up there with the old iPod classic but good enough, no complaints there. Menus are a bit clunky but honestly for £30 odd, I'm not worried.

Cannot function as screen just whites out the whole time.
Cannot function as screen just whites out the whole time.was easy to charge up & load up but useless going forwards as now not able to see the screen, folders, functions.I guess I expect too much of cheap tech as made in C seems to flood amazon pages, 5* and rave reviews but in actual fact, it still feels like a 1999 product.Amazon need to filter better when it comes to not up to standard cheap tech.Guess I'll pay the extra again & get a branded item to replace this worthless bit.

Okay
Things I like are: small size, sound quality (not from the silly tiny speaker tho!😆), You can browse files by your own folder structure, very easy to transfer files with supplied data cable, c type usb charging/data port.Things I dislike: music albums are sorted and played out of order by song filename not by track number (come on its 2023!!) AND the track name shown is not the track title metadata but the filename (ugh!!), Including the stupid AB button and equaliser button means controls are all squashed up together on tiny play screen (i have small fingers but i keep pressing the buttons next to the skip buttons by accident which is annoying and takes ages to get back), you can't view album covers when browsing only when playing, pointless extra features cluttering homescreen (who wants to look at bad res videos/photos on a tiny screen?! Or txt file only ebooks?? Noone!🤷🏻♀️), Stopwatch?! Tiny calendar?!🤦🏻♀️, shame you can't delete pointless tiles from the home page.If id bought this for music, the play order by filename would be a deal breaker for me. But as I bought for my audiobooks and spoken word library plus a few music playlists, I can live with that.Im not going through my entire music library and numbering every filename so they play in the proper order, so I won't also be using this as my main music player, which is a shame since it has 64gb space.Okay for the price if you don't care what order songs play in an album.

Amazing product
I bought this product for my daughter and she absolutely loves it, she uses it all day and still hasn't filled up the 64gb storage. The mp3 player is very compact and can be taken anywhere.

Easy to use
To view photos they must be bmp format so all those jpg will have to be changed. Video playback only works with avi or amv files. amv are a rarity and I had to find a program to convert the more common mp4 to amv. so far my avi files do not play on this device. Really, I would suggest using this item as a music player as that is where it excels and is really easy to use. For the price I paid I have no complaints. Recommended.
