Build

The pictures are beautiful and the story even more so. I love reading this book and “Twirl” to my kids. God centered and empowering. You won’t regret this and it will live on my bookshelf forever.

"Build" is a delightful children's book that encourages readers to embrace their uniqueness as God's creations. The story follows a creative young boy who, inspired by the animal kingdom's master builders, learns to appreciate his remarkable talents and abilities. The message that we are each a masterpiece and purposefully designed is a good one for all ages. I have enjoyed the author's watercolor books, note cards, stickers, and other products for my use and as gifts to friends. I bought this book to include in a baby shower gift, but I will be buying another copy to have on hand for future gifting. We need more writers like Emily Lex to get positive messages out in this world.

Such a cute book! Bought this for my son, but would make an amazing gift. I even read this to my Sundays school class.

I bought this book for my nephew and couldn't be more pleased with the story and illustrations. The storyline is charming and reflects the real life of little boys. I have two of my own so I could identify with this little boy's love for building things. The watercolor paintings are so very beautiful and tell the story in a very special way. I think I may need to buy another one to keep for myself. Two thumbs up to the author and illustrator!!

Sweet story with beautiful illustrations.

Absolutely perfect message for my 3 year old and would equally be great for any young boy. Sweet reminder that Gods given each of us unique gifts. We refer to this book often throughout the day. It’s ok that the character Brady boy didn’t build like spider, beaver, or bird. God made Brady boy to build just as He created him to do. It won’t be identical to someone else’s gifting.

Similar to her book Twirl for girls, this book Build is geared at boys, however I got it for my nieces and it still fits great. It is a great growing story and super sweet. Highly recommend for girls or boys, but is geared more towards boys.

Beautifully illustrated and well told story. Encouraging and hopeful. Make a great gift.
