These come in a clear resealable plastic bag. There is a strong smell - either from the foam or from the glue used to attach the sanding surfaces to the foam blocks. They are effective small sanding blocks, with many potential uses in addition to manicures. Actual measurements are slightly smaller than the seller's stated 1 x 1 x 3.7 inches - I measured 0.9375 x 0.9375 x 3.625 (15/16 x 15/16 x 3 5/8) inches. Comparing to sandpaper with numbered grits, I'd estimate these to be around 100-grit.
