The story pulled me in and I found myself lost in the pages. It is a book that once I started reading I had a hard time putting down until I had finished. It is the story of Angela Holguin and Soren Lund. These two first meet when they attend the same school in Barcelona. Soren is very attracted to Angela from the first time he sees her. Once they start talking, Angela is intrigued by Soren. While they are both interested in each other, that one of them feels that they are getting mixed messages from the other and that the other doesn’t confess their feelings has them going separate ways. Now they have reconnected in London and they find that the attraction between them is just as strong as before. They have a second chance. Then while they are reconnecting Angela’s ex makes an appearance. Does she still have feelings for him? Will this cause a rift between them that threatens to pull them apart or will they only hold on to each other tighter? Read this book to find out. This book is told from the POV of both Angela and Soren. There were times when I got frustrated reading about how they both have an attraction for each other however mixed signals kept them apart. This story also gave me that warm feeling when reading about two people are falling for each other. More than once I found myself with a smile on my face. The attraction between these two is steamy. One of the reasons that I really loved the character of Soren is that he is so thoughtful. His actions show Angela that he has fallen for her. It is just the type of man I would love to meet. This is the first book in a series and also the first book I have read by the author. I can’t wait to read the next book in the series. I recommend this book as it is well written and has wonderful characters that I loved reading about.

The details and descriptions in this story made it so easy to feel like you were walking the European streets, eating the food and enjoying the culture right along with the characters.“I just want to squeeze the juice out of this city so that when I go home I have no regrets of missed opportunities.”

A vacation in a book! Beckoned Part 1: From London with Love by Aviva Vaughn is the first book in this series. I love when I can find a new series to read and better yet a new author to love.From Barcelona to London we learn about Angela and Soren, who meet when they are young. Fast forward and they meet again. Is putting these two together twice in one life time fate? You can tell that there is chemistry between them because it leaps off the pages at you. The one thing I did really like is that it felt like an actual relationship, not just a jump right in and become a couple.I felt like I was traveling abroad when I was reading this book. I can tell the author put a lot of thought into the scenery of the story and that only adds to the story. Now I have two more places on my bucket list that I need to visit.This author kept the story flowing, putting in a few unexpected twists to the story. Also, there was so much emotion in this story. I had so many emotions when I read this story, I kept coming back for more. I cannot wait to read the next book in this amazing series.

Beckoned, Part 1 by Aviva VaughnFour StarsBeckoned, Part 1: From London with Love is the first book in the Beckoned series by Aviva Vaughn. This is the first book I have read by this author, but definitely won’t be my last. This book had me hooked from the beginning to end. I was caught off guard by some of the twists and turns, which I love when I’m kept guessing. The characters are relatable and made me feel like I was part of the story.Angela and Soren’s story started in Barcelona where the timing wasn’t quite right for this couple, and who would have thought they would meet again in London. There chemistry is off the charts, but when an ex shows up will that put a rift in their relationship? This book was full of feels and had me on an emotional roller coaster. I really enjoyed the progression of their relationship.I highly recommend this book and am looking forward to the next installment in this series.
