Fixed my son's braking issues on his bike with a new front caliper.I used a wire cutter and carpet knife. It left the edges rough and inserting the barb a little harder.Cutting the cable with a Dremel cutting disk might make it cleaner.

Great price. I paid $4 for a single barb and olive alone at the bike store at the bike store.I didn’t see it mentioned in the ad, but at least the black cable I received was a fine textured matte finish. Most bikes and cable are a smooth semi-gloss. So if you’re replacing just one cable (like I am), you’ll have an aesthetic mis-match. Because of the texture, it will take more effort to wipe clean.It’s good to know this before ordering.Watch the fit - some here say it doesn’t work with brands the ad says it does.Great price though. Nice that it comes in colors.

the line came with what i needed except the cutting kit of course but it was easy to cut easy to push together and works great. going to order another to even out the other side

This was super easy. It came with everything needed. Obviously you need a brake bleeding kit if you are looking to extend, upgrade or replace your hydronic brake line. I had this done and was back to riding in 15 minutes. It never leaked or cracked or anything like some of the other comments I’ve read. I think a lot of the negative reviews are from people who are not so mechanically inclined. All it takes is one YouTube video for 2 minutes and you’re good if you don’t know how to properly install it. All in all I will buy again and I’d definitely recommend this to anyone. I ride a motorized bicycle and I get well over 50 mph and I trust this completely. It’s strong and never gave me the slightest problem or leak what so ever. This is a must have especially for the price you can’t beat it.

First it’s a Matt finish that’s very fragile. Simple routing to rear but when filling up with fluid it starts pouring out of BB. Everything tight so removed hose and found tiny hole. Just crap quality. Going back to Shimano which has a bulletproof outer casing. There’s a reason it’s 2 x price.

I bought a second hand Rock Shox dropper post and needed to plumb it. It worked like a charm. It looks cool too.

Even though the product description claims this brake hose can be used for Avid/SRAM brakes, don't be fooled. The kit does not include any adapter which would allow the brake hose to be affixed to the brake caliper. Furthermore, the included olive fittings are the incorrect style for Avid/SRAM brakes. Bite the bullet, spend the extra money, and buy a Jagwire brake hose kit and adapters if you want something that will actually work.
