THE WORST TOM TOM EVER CREATED BY TOM TOM even though it’s the latest and most expensive model. No b review BE AWARE It got me stuck a few times by making me do unrealistic turns especially in a Class 1 truck and trailer MADE ME LOSE IMPORTANT HIGH VALUE HGV JOBS. There was one time where it told me to take not a “U” turn but a “V” turn which is impossible as the road I was one was only wide as one car. It constantly takes you down unsuitable roads for HGVs and takes you down areas with 7.5 t restrictions. Also as a driver you want to take the fastest routes and safest HGV friendly routes to get to your destinations fast and safely but in fact it makes you go all around the place and adds unnecessary time and miles for extra fuel consumption on your journey. I bought this device as TomTom is usually quite good at HGV truck sat navs. I lost 3-4 jobs due to this device and cost me way more in lost income!! I waited a long time to get some software updates to fix the wrong defective navigation system but no fix. Sometimes it turns off on itself and goes all over the place. Its purpose is to navigate you around to your destination on truck roads quickly and safely but it doesn’t do that and got me stuck dangerous roads on restricted roads: HGV unfriendly roads. Sometimes it even turns off on itself and the audio is not loud at all when you have your radio on. The few Pros of this device would be the new interface which I really liked, the screen size and the nice animations that help you as a driver. That said. this does not justify not doing the work it’s supposed to do properly: navigate you!! I’m really disappointed and don’t recommend this device to other HGV class 1 & Class 2 drivers.

Works great outside London but in Central London it's useless i rather use my handy google maps to navigate me around.

Brilliant piece of kit. Even though I do the same route every day. I still have it It informs me of road closures and delays then suggest a quicker route. This is the third one I’ve had. Nothing wrong with the others just up graded or replace a damage one. ( I dropped it)

Terrible don’t buy, nothing like the old trucker nav. This one Only picks up on unsuitable for HGV or 7.5t. Doesn’t take into account for 2t or other restricted weighted zones. Don’t like the fact it has to be hotspotted to phone neither. The old version never. Kills my phone battery to run live traffic. Be sticking to Google maps for traffic and a A-Z much easier way and that’s coming from a young hung stud wet behind the ears…!

Parfait !! Étant conducteur d'autocar de tourisme je m'en sers très souvent il est très pratique, fluide, rapide en recherche d'itinéraire, le trafic fonctionne très bien via Bluetooth.. Petit bémol la batterie ne tient pas très longtemps

Mein neuer LKW steht in den Startlöchern, und das Vorgänger-Navi bleibt im alten und bei dem neuen Fahrer. Da ich damit sehr zufrieden war, habe ich mir - trotz der negativen Bewertungen - das aktuelle Modell zugelegt. Da es auf die alte Halterung passt, konnte ich es jetzt 3 Wochen intensiv testen. Größter Unterschied zum Vorgänger ist neben farblicher Personalisierung die Möglichkeit Animationen einzublenden. Was wie Spielerei klingt kann aber sehr nützlich sein, besonders wenn man ohne akustische Anweisungen fährt. Da diese Animationen unübersehbar sind, besteht nicht mehr die Gefahr die Ausfahrt zu verpassen. Was außerorts gut ist kann innerorts allerdings etwas nerven, da das ständige Geblinke irgentwann stört. Die 1-jährige Radar-Lizenz funktionierte testweise gut, wird von mir wegen "nicht erlaubt" aber nicht genutz. Wie beim Vorgänger funktionieren die Verkehrsdaten mit Staus und Sperrungen tadellos, Stauenden werden präzise angezeigt. Entgegen schlechter Bewertung werden Verzögerungen und die daraus resultierende (voraussichtliche) Ankunftszeit sehr wohl angegeben. Das es leider oft vorkommt, dass eigentlich kein Stau prognostiziert wird - auch nicht im Radio - weil die linken Spuren frei, die rechte Spur aber voll ist (Rückstau oder LKW-Überholverbot), verzögert sich die Ankunft immer weiter, wofür das Navi aber nichts kann. Brauchte ich beim Vorgänger noch den WLAN-Hotspot vom Smartphone, funktioniert das jetzt auch über Bluetooth. Alternative Routen lassen sich jederzeit einfach anzeigen und auswählen, ohne die Aufmerksamkeit übermäßig abzulenken. Beschränkungen, die sich auf die tatsächliche Masse des LKW beziehen können natürlich so nicht berücksichtigt werden, da das Navi diese nicht kennt. Im Fall der Zoobrücke in Köln lässt es mich mit 32 Tonnen zulässigem Gesamtgewicht nicht darüber fahren, obwohl der LKW leer ist, weshalb ich die Fahrzeugdaten auf 30,0 Tonnen angepasst habe, und schon funktioniert es. Da ich regelmäßig ein Online-Backup gemacht habe, konnte ich übrigens alle Favoriten auf das neue Gerät übertragen - sehr praktisch. Auch eine Routenplanung mit Zwischenstopps klappt problemlos. Ich hatte in den 3 Wochen keinerlei Softwareprobleme, keine Abstürze, kein ungewolltes Ein- bzw. Ausschalten o. Ä. zu beklagen. Somit freue ich mich darauf dieses durchaus LKW-taugliche Navi demnächst in täglicher Anwendung zu haben. ICH KANN ES EMPFEHLEN UND WÜRDE ES WIEDER KAUFEN!

Mi serviva un navigatore per autobus, questo che è l'ultimo di TomTom pensavo fosse il top di gamma, invece sono rimasto deluso. Inizialmente volevo fare il reso, ma poi l'ho tenuto. PRO: segnali visivi di svolte o avvisi che si vedono molto bene, essendo che nel bus hai sempre lo sguardo frontale o negli specchi, questo aiuta moltissimo. CONTRO: rispetto ai precedenti TomTom GO ha la metà delle funzionalità. I percorsi scelti per autobus sono assurdi, devo metterlo in modalità auto anziché autobus. Una funzione che hanno tolto e che invece era utilissima è il "registra percorso". La connessione Hot-Spot col telefono (come in tutti i tomtom) quando il navigatore va in stand-by e poi si riaccende, si disconette, dal telefono bisogna disattivare e riattivare l'hot-spot, solo allora si riconette. Ultima cosa ma non meno importante, nel nuovo plan.tomtom non riesci mai crearti un percorso nelle strade che vuoi te, nemmeno forzando, alcune strade (anche in modalità auto) non te le fa fare. Pensavo di aver preso uno strumento che mi aiutasse nel mio lavoro, ma alla fine si deve sempre girare anche con G-Maps in mano. Sono molto deluso da TomTom, ma è anche vero che non c'è molta scelta. Solo il fatto di potersi creare persorsi, itinerari e posizioni da remoto e trovarseli nel navigatore appena si connette, è molto comodo. Però è anche vero, che non ci sono altre alternative valide, questa sembra essere la migliore.
