After five years of use of this product in several gutters, I have changed my initial assessment. My rooves have a shallow incline and are subject to moss accretion. Over time, the Hedgehog brushes clog up with decaying trapped moss and slow down rainwater outflow. The penalty is that the brushes need removal and cleaning on a fairly regular basis.Another negative aspect is the failure of the gutters to cope with torrential rain, which is a feature of climate change. The flow of rainwater skims over the top of the brush, producing torrents of overspilling water down the face of buildings. Admittedly, rainfall has been exceptional in recent years, but the evidence is that it will become normal. For my purposes, I am removing all Hedgehog brushes and seeking a deeper replacement gutter.

These are fun to work with - tucking under the roof line nicely. Caution: any gutter that has been fitted not close to roof edge, will need the plastic ties to secure. I had these installed last year over the main roof, but they were blown away, much to my consternation (- i did not know they were not secured by the handyman)! Lesson learned so these ones needed ties to anchor them down or they would not be in situ after a few windy days. One negative point though I notice that somehow, some leaves manage to tuck nicely down the sides of ones of the main roof. Supposed nature wins again!

Delivered quickly and high quality product ( guarantee for 10 years on labels . I cleared my conservatory gutters first of leaves and debris then easily slid the hedgehog bristles around the guttering . The guttering arches ( don’t know what that are called ) hold it in place although I did purchase the clips also and used as very windy where I live . Very pleased and easy to install in 20 mins .

Tried another non-hedghog type and the material for that is inferior (some of the bristles arrived being pushed together, and would not expand to tube-shape again, whilst this was not the case with the hedgehog).Agree with other reviews: this won't completely solve gutter problems, especially if there are neerby trees. Leaves etc. do get stuck in it and behind it in places, depending on the angle and distance from the roof line; small grit and sand etc will still fall through and block it over time, etc...Hopefully this will reduce maintenance frequency though - time will tell.

This was easy to install, the only issue was cutting each length, you'll need a good pair of wire cutters! So far, so good, with no problems with the gutters overflowing due to blockages; however, it is early days, and the bulk of the leaves had fallen before I had ordered this product. This time next year, I will have a better idea of the performance, so I'll try to remember to update this review.

This is a great product. We’re always cleaning out the gutters, especially in autumn, as so many leaves fall from trees and land in my gutters!Problem solved. I bought more from this company after successfully testing last year on one side of the house - entire house now completed and so far much fewer leaves. Easier to sweep up from the ground than go up my ladder to clean the gutters.Great service too. Thank you

Easy to install using a ladder. The correct clips made the job easier.Now it's in situ I hardly notice it, but I will definitely notice when I have to clear out the gutters.... though hopefully not for some while .
