Burk's Bay Men's Napa Leather Flight Jacket

I guess that purchasing a 2X jacket probably means, to the manufacturer that the customer is 7' tall.Not so. Hubster is 5'9" and wears a 2-3X due to some 'middle aged girth spread'. Okay, he has a gut :)The jacket fits well around his middle, but the sleeves are ridiculously long. By about 4".The quality of the leather is nice. It is stiff and the grain is very consistent. There is a thin, small loop at the back to hang this from. Although it is thin, it seems well made and strong enough. It could be longer if you're trying to hang it on a hook larger than 1" wideThe inner fabric lining is a 'map' patterned polyester with a very thin bonded polyester batting on the back of it. This will help to keep it anchored to the grain of the leather (suede) on the inside of the jacketThere are 3 inner pockets. 2 of them are edged and easy to access. The 3rd is a zippered hidden pocket adjacent to the zippered area. It is quite large and will fit a large wallet, phone, keys, etc.This jacket has an 'access area' that unzips at the bottom of the lining in the coat.This is so that if you want the back of the jacket embroidered, or a patch to be sewn on, this allows the tailor to access the back without taking the lining out. Great idea!The front pockets have a flap covering them and a snap to keep them shut.The sleeves have 2 snaps to adjust around the wrist.Don't forget to purchase some leather conditioner to go on this. The leather needs to soften up a LOT before it can be worn.The inner fabric is thin and polyester. If your man sweats a lot, this jacket will feel sticky inside. I'd suggest a long sleeve shirt if the weather is going to be warm'ish.Glad he has a backup jacket...this one is just for show.

Good fit, fairly heavy jacket, should be warm in the winter.

I've been wearing this jacket long enough to say that it is great quality. I'm happy with it. The leather is holding up well and the zippers are working great. The liner is good to. I went from not wanting to wear a jacket to wanting to make sure I have this one with me all the time. It fits great and feels comfortable. If your thinking about getting one of these, just order it!

Returned as it was larger than expected. I'm 5-9 175lbs and I ordered a large. I felt it was too big for me.

This was a gift for my husband and he LOVES it. He is very picky and I shopped around for a very long time before finding this jacket. He stays very warn in our much colder winter climate. Highly recommend this jacket.
