Super kit that did the job perfectly. Tiny wires in my fat fingered hands were a pain but this crimper did it without fuss or bother. Certainly worth the price

It took my son a couple of go’s to get it right. The first attempt took him ages to thread the wires into the plug, after a couple more attempts he found it very easy. I personally can’t use it because I’m colour blind and several of the colours look the same to me. I intend to get a continuity lead to check before crimping. A curse given to me by my mother!!! But in the hands of a good sighted person it is remarkably easy to use. In the past I’ve drilled large holes in the wall to get the RJ45 plug though but the latest job in wiring a POE CCTV system needed a more professional job. The cutters are sharp and the seal on the plug is strong. I’d recommend using this kit but be warned, practice on some scrap wire first. The tester is a must even for a non colour blind person as it is easy to make a mistake and this picks mis-wiring up.

Does exactly as I needed. The branded versions were 3 to 4 times more expensive with no added extras.The main tool is cheap in price but works just fine. One issue I had is once I had fed my data cable through into the clear RJ45 Jack's and used the tool it cut everything flush but the tool doesn't compress fully resulting in the gold pins not being forced into the sheath of the individual data wires. This means all looks fine but the cable is not acknowledged and won't send data. I used a tester from klein tools and was able to identify this and so on close inspection of the tool it would seem that the cutting blade is too long or seated to low, regardless I removed the blade and put the already cut and prepared cable back into the tool and without the blade I could hear the pins fully compressing. Moving forward I put the blade back in (held by one screw) and put my data cable together using the floorless pass through design method and each time I had finished the cable I removed the blade and put the cable back into the tool and gave it another squeeze and I have had no issues as of yet. All of my cables are perfect and have been tested with no faults.The small yellow pliers are great with a good cutting capability when cutting data cable. I didn't use the clear plastic sleeves because I bought some sized specifically for CAT6. The blue boots/dust covers are one size fits all and I used these on my CAT6 cable.Would I recomend this tool, yes. If your like me and a diy'er then there is a good chance you won't get much use out of something more expensive. This serves its purpose despite the faffing about with the blade.

This works really well from cutting the shroud off, trimming the plastic core (CAT6e Cable) and sealing the end. The build quality is excellent and the clippers with it are very sharp. Very pleased with it.

The tool is well made and performs all of its functions well. The plugs work well and the tester gives peace of mind on a long cable installation between a router and an outdoor wifi aerial. All round very good stuff at a very reasonable price.
